HOW IT WORKS
Plasma Lift Skin Tightening is a non-surgical skin tightening procedure in which
plasma is used to heat and tighten the skin.
The results achieved from the treatment are long term. The results last 3-4
years, at which point the treatment may be done again in order to retain a
youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
Plasma Lift is effective in tightening the skin on almost any part of the body.
It also forces collagen regeneration thus strengthening the overall integrity of
the skin. There are minimal side effects or complications following Plasma Lift,
however, the main risks to consider are hyper-pigmentation and scarring (slight
indentation to the skin). The recovery takes around 1 week for the scabs to fall
off (may take up to 3-4 weeks when treating below the neck area).

YOUR SAFETY IS IMPORTANT FOR US
FOR YOUR SAFETY WE DO NOT PERFORM THIS TREATMENT IF:
1. The client has a skin type 4-6 on the Fitzpatrick scale (see more pictures
in the Gallery page*).
2. The skin is prone to keloid scarring, or if scars tend to heal darker than
the surroundings skin (If this is the case, and the client wants to proceed
with treatment, a patch test is advised).
3. The client has any of the following: Severe or active acne, Lupus,
Psoriasis or vitiligo, severe diabetes, open wounds on or around the
treatment site.
4. The client is pregnant, breastfeeding, immune-deficient or has any
auto-immune disorder.
5. The client is on any blood thinning medication or is allergic or had any
negative reactions to numbing cream.
6. The client is tanned or had prolonged sun exposure within 30 days prior to
their scheduled treatment. Use SPF daily.
7. No use of accutane within 1 year of treatment.
8. There is no pretreatment required aside from avoiding sun, unless the
client falls into the higher risk category based on skin color, or if the
client has any pre existing hyperpigmentation.
9. The client has immune-suppressive diseases such as ADS or HIV, severe
diabetes, a history of bleeding problems, if taking blood thinning
medications.
10. The client has a pacemaker (or metal implants or pins anywhere close to the
treatment area), or if under the age of 18.
IMPORTANT
YOU SHOULD AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR 4 WEEKS PRIOR TO TREATMENT:
1. Botox and/or fillers within or immediately surrounding the treatment area.
2. Chemical peels and laser treatment (if you have had these treatments you
should follow your doctor's protocol and healing timeframe following
treatment).
3. Discontinue any use of Retinol/Retin-A or any Alpha Hydroxy Acid for 3-4
weeks prior to treatment.
4. Tanning or heavy sun exposure within 30 days of treatment is not
recommended. It is also important for you to avoid sun exposure during the
entire healing period (8-10 weeks), making sure to use Zinc or SPF daily on
treated areas.
AFTER CARE
1. NO PICKING/SCRUBBING!
2. To reduce redness, pain, swelling and scabbing in the treated area,
beginning right after the treatment, apply Bactine Max or Alocane Max
several times a day for 7 days.
3. Scabs begin to fall off around day 4-5. Once the scabs fall off, you must
use a sunscreen SPF 15 or greater during the entire healing period (8
weeks). Do not scratch or remove the scabs as it may cause scarring.
4. The collagen regeneration process begins 4 weeks after treatment, and 8
weeks after the skin begins a second round of tightening. The full results
will be revealed by week 8.
5. Take from 5-7 days off to relax, do not exercise and avoid sweating after
the treatment, as sweat can irritate the treated area.
6. Wash your face with cold water and gently dry.
7. NO ALCOHOL, NO SMOKING!
