Introducing 97.9
Valley FM


If you haven't tuned into 97.9 Valley FM, why not give it a go. We cover news,
sports and information programmes,
we play mostly older style music, easy listening 50's, through to modern day and
country.
Our National News comes from 9 News, Radio (2GB) via satellite.
Our studios are situated on the Parkes Road in Forbes where visitors are
welcome.
Our transmitter is on Mt. Coonambro which is near Cookamidgera. We broadcast at
4,000 watts ERP in FM stereo.
We broadcast 24 hours a day, some overnight programmes come via satellite from
the Community Broadcasting
Association of Australia and other nights are locally produced programmes by our
own announcers.
We are always pleased to hear from people who would like o become announcers and
presenters; they will be
trained at our studios. Any other volunteers who would like to help with the
running of the station are always
welcome; it is an interesting and rewarding pastime.
Valley FM is here for the communities of this area. We are here for the people
to use for news and information of
their organizations.
Tune in and have a listen to Valley FM, we feel sure you will enjoy some, if not
all our programs, we are all
amateurs but we strive to do the best we can.
