National Rural Health Day, November 18 - The Alabama Department of Public
Health’s Office of Primary Care and Rural Health, Alabama Family Practice Rural
Health Board, Alabama Hospital Association, Alabama Primary Health Care
Association, Alabama Rural Health Association, and the University of Alabama at
Birmingham’s Alabama Rural Health Collaborative are proud to recognize the
innovation, quality of care, and dedication of health professionals and
volunteers in the state during National Rural Health Day 2021.

Subcommittee Review of Public Health Governance Workgroup Recommendations - A
subcommittee of the State Committee of Public Health met virtually on Thursday,

Revisions to Radiation Control Chapter Rules - Alabama Radiation Control chapter

School Guidance 2021-2022 - Updated guidance for K-12 Alabama schools is
available on the ADPH website. These updates reflect the most up-to-date

Rural Health Collaborative are proud to recognize the innovation, quality of

National Rural Health Day 2021.

“Share Your Smile with Alabama” Statewide Photo Contest - The ADPH Oral Health
Office announces the 5th Annual “Share Your Smile with Alabama” statewide photo
contest. Submit your third grade student's photo by November 30! Two winners
will be highlighted in marketing campaigns to promote children’s oral health and
will be featured in a news conference on January 28, 2022.

Candlelight Memorial Service - A candlelight memorial service in honor of
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day will be held on Friday, October 15,
2021 at 6:30 p.m. in Rolling Hills Park, located in the Rolling Hill Community
at Cottonwood Golf Club in the Town of Pike Road.

The Thirteenth Annual Women's Health Update - The Office of Women's Health
Advisory Committee is pleased to announce The Thirteenth Annual Women's Health
Update. The theme for 2021 is "Women's Health During the Pandemic: A Focus on
Resilience." The event will be held virtually on Friday, August 6, from 8 a.m.
to 12 p.m.

Vaccinate Alabama TikTok Contest - ADPH is sponsoring a TikTok contest for
persons between the ages of 13 and 29 to encourage vaccination against COVID-19
before the beginning of the school year. Four winners will get Visa cards.
Deadline is August 6.
