CALL FOR COMMENTS—VIEWPOINT:
PREMATURE BIRTH: A NEGLECTED CONSIDERATION FOR ALTITUDE ADAPTATION

Submission Deadline: August 10, 2022

The Journal of Applied Physiology will feature the following article as part of
a Viewpoint series:

Debevec T, Narang BJ, Manferdelli G, Millet GP. Premature birth: a neglected
consideration for altitude adaptation. J Appl Physiol (1985). First published
June 16, 2022. doi:10.1152/japplphysiol.00201.2022.

You are invited to give your views on this issue by submitting a brief
Commentary (250 word maximum, 5 references from peer-reviewed publications only,
no figures). One of the 5 references must be to the Viewpoint (please use the
citation shown above). The full text of the article can be viewed online at
https://doi.org/10.1152/japplphysiol.00201.2022 or at
https://journals.physiology.org/doi/abs/10.1152/japplphysiol.00201.2022. If you
have any difficulty accessing the full article, please contact Iliana Torres at
itorres@physiology.org and she can assist you.

Commentaries must be received by August 10, 2022, to be considered for
publication in the Journal when the Viewpoint series is finalized.

Please send your Comments directly to itorres@physiology.org.

Please note: It is important that you submit your Comments in the correct
format. Please begin with either your own original brief title or use the
generic title, “Commentary on Viewpoint: Premature birth: a neglected
consideration for altitude adaptation.” Please list author names followed by
affiliations. Begin your Comment with “To the Editor:”. After the text of the
Comment, add a section for “Disclosures” and list any potential conflicts of
interest for each author or state “None.” Include a Reference list that contains
the Viewpoint article as one of its citations. Reference lists for all APS
journals should be arranged by order of in-text citation and numbered serially.
The reference number should be placed in parentheses at the appropriate place in
the text. (Please also see
