We are fortunate to be stewards of not only a wonderful local resource, but one ofof the nation’s newest National Parks, an International Biosphere Reserve, a Globally Important Bird Area, and a Wetlands of International Importance. To ensure that the integrity and vitality of this magnificent site remain for ourselves and future generations, we invite you to be an active participant in the Friends of Congaree Swamp group. It was through grass-roots citizen involvement that Congaree became a protected public resource; it is through collective involvement NOW that this special place will remain the treasure that it is. Thank you for your interest. And thank you on behalf of Congaree Swamp and all its denizens. John M.
