celebrated its post-licensure and graduate students at the spring 2022
commencement ceremony. More than 14,000 students graduated between July 2021 and
June 2022 and will join a network of nearly 115,000 Chamberlain alumni around
the world who are helping to address the projected shortage of half a million
nurses by 2030.

professional talent to the healthcare industry, has established a partnership
between its two medical schools, American University of the Caribbean School of
Medicine (AUC) and Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM), and Southern
California University of Health Services (SCU) to expand access to education for
aspiring physicians looking to earn a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU), a historically Black college and university
(HBCU) in Daytona Beach, Fla., to expand educational access for aspiring medical
students. Through this agreement, B-CU students and alumni who meet RUSM’s
program requirements — many of whom identify as a race or ethnicity
underrepresented in medicine — will be eligible for direct admission and
scholarships to RUSM to pursue a medical degree.

3rd Year Student Nyla Shah Leads Advocacy on Campus for Women Entering Medicine

Nyla Shah, Class of ’26 found a community when she came to American University
of the Caribbean (AUC), joining the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA).
As this chapter’s president she works to heighten awareness of women’s health
issues through such activities as a mentorship program, lecture series, and
community outreach programs.

2. Shelby Hamilton and A New Approach to Treating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Shelby Hamilton, Class of ’25 who herself was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian
Syndrome (PCOS), has through dedicated research worked to link PCOS to
Hypothyroidism. Her presentation won third place at an AUC UK Research Symposium
in 2022. Additionally, she was accepted into the 2023 Annual Academic Meeting of
the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual Meeting in London in
February 2023.
