StarCraft II

That feeling you have when you just finished an amazing game. With StarCraft II
that feeling I have once in a while when I replay all the campaigns. Too bad the
story is over and in a way I'm glad there are no spin offs or some other crap
like World of StarCraft. There is not much space for story rich games in the
modern gamedev. There is also less and less demand for competitive real-time
strategy games, all that market was consumed with MOBAs. Not many players out
there want to spend hundreds of hours just to even stand a chance against other
players. Having such good in size and quality single-player part is too
expensive nowadays. Those shy attempts to revive an RTS market don't even try to
include campaign or a story because creating balanced PvP game is already
challenge on its own. I will revisit StarCraft story in the future, hoping there
won't be any Reforged failures that will take the original game from me.

Counter-Strike 2

Valve has released a major update for Counter-Strike 2, introducing weapon
charms and new skins as part of the "Arsenal" operation. They added over 100 new
cosmetic items, including stickers and a new case. Players can also acquire
charms through the Arsenal Pass, which costs around $15, and attach them to
weapons. Additionally, gameplay animations were improved, and bugs were fixed.
On the downside, some users have reported performance issues following the
update, with frame rates dropping by around 14%.

Spectre Divide

Unfortunately it's not looking too good for Shroud's new game Spectre Divide.
Looks like the studio is letting go 13 employees only a few weeks after the game
launched. Unfortunately making a new hit game remains to be difficult :/

Frostpunk 2

Frostpunk 2 has been released. 11 bit studios released their game in Steam and
Microsoft Store. City builder also available in PC Game Pass since day one.
Reviews claim the game is bigger and better its predecessor in every way. In
Frostpunk 2 players control a city in postapocaliptic setting where eternal
winter rules the world. You have to develop the city, deal with problems of its
citizens and political factions. The game offers long campaign and sandbox mode
where yo can play with no limits. Frostpunk 2 also offers full mod support that
allows community to create their own maps, models and scenarios.

God of War Ragnarök

God of War Ragnarök is now finally available on PC after almost 2 years being
available exclusively on PlayStation. Porting to PC was done by Jetpack
Interactive, the same studio that was also porting previous God of War game. God
of War Ragnarök on PC received several improvements compared to console version.
Among other things developers added image upscaling support, support of
ultra-wide displays and unlimited framerate. Action made by Santa Monica
continues the story from God of War (2018). Kratos and Atreus are traveling in
every of Nine worlds to prevent Ragnarök, the end of the world. Initial release
of God of War Ragnarök happened in 2022. Average rating on Metacritic is 94 out
of 100.

Escape From Tarkov

Here's my current Kappa progress in Escape from Tarkov's current wipe
(v0.15.0.0). So all of these quests must be complete before getting the
Collector quest from Fence that rewards you with the largest in-game secure
container and the DEADSKUL armband. In addition to that, you have to collect all
the streamer items shown in this list. I currently have 31/39 of those. Probably
the most difficult ones I've already found.👍 I was able to achieve it last wipe
but let's see if I have enough time and motivation to grind it!

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era

My favourite Heroes game is Heroes of Might & Magic III and I'm glad that Olden
Era is trying to recreate visuals, both on adventure map and in battle. The
details on the map are amazing, they look like a painting. Objects to interact
with are prominent and you can't miss them, but at the same time they feel as
part of the landscape and not too bright to attract attention. Opening fog of
war is no longer boring, it looks like paper cover is burning away as you
uncover new territories. Last but not least: the tilt-shift effect that makes
objects on the adventure map look like miniatures.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

Season 6 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sounds like it’s shaping up to be a
must-play for horror fans. With the return of The Haunting, the new season
introduces two horror-themed maps – Drive Thru, featuring a killer clown-themed
restaurant, and Mad Cow, a chilling slaughterhouse that feels straight out of a

Dota 2

During The International 2024 Valve has announced 126th hero for Dota 2. It's a
bird-samurai named Kez. It's going to become available with the 4th act of the
Crownfall event, where players will oppose the Empire. This hero was one of
those that regularly was found in game files and numerous leaks. Valve was
adding interest with items and teasers on the website. After the release of the
Crownfall Kazurai - the order of samurai birds - was added to the Dota 2 lore.
During the last The International Valve has announced previous hero named
Ringmaster that was released just recently after almost a year since the
announcement.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era

Unfrozen shared some details about game modes that will be available in Heroes
of Might & Magic: Olden Era. Developers want to make it every type of player to
find what they are looking for. First game mode to mention is the Campaign.
Unlike previous HoMM games there'll be only one campaign, but it will cover all
available factions. Campaign is expected to be non-linear. When the game will be
released in early access, campaign will only have the first act. Second mode is
Random maps. Players will be able able to generate infinite number of unique
maps to play against AI opponents. Random map generator and opponent AI already
functions. Another game mode is Custom maps. There'll be few maps available when
game goes live, but players will have access to a map editor to create their own
maps and share them with the community. Multiplayer is another way of playing
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era. It will be released with 3 fully functional
multiplayer modes: Classic, "Single Hero" and Arena. Multiplayer is developed in
cooperation with professional players and is expected to fulfil the demand of
competitive community. And last but not least - the good old Hot Seat is also
expected to be available. You don't expect this kind of thing from modern PC
games anymore. Probably the first game I will play in Early Access.

Deadlock

There are hackers in Deadlock! 🤯 Even though the game is still in development,
the cheaters have already surfaced and are ruining it for everyone else. That's
not a surprise really. Luckily, according to Deadlock developers AKA Valve,
there is an anticheeat on the way. 👍 Let's just hope it will be a good one as
it is not easy to fight the hackers nowadays 😅

Squad Busters

In the latest Squad Busters update, the Transformers are making a big entrance!
Optimus Prime and Elita-1 will join the roster as permanent characters. Yes,
actual playable heroes, not just skins. Players can unlock these iconic Autobots
by collecting Energon in battles during the special Transformers Event, which
runs for two weeks starting Monday. Optimus Prime is available in the first
week, with Elita-1 following in the second. Both characters have Classic and
Super forms, with no Baby forms like other heroes. In addition to unlocking
Transformer characters, players can battle new bosses in the limited-time
Unicron Attacks mode, while robot-themed skins will be hitting the shop for a
limited time. Also launching with this update is the new Star Chest, which
contains top-tier rewards, including new characters and ultra-rare Ultimate
forms. Every player will receive 10 Star Chests as a login bonus on Monday, with
a guaranteed Ultra and the chance for an Ultimate. Green World characters are
also getting their Ultimate Evolutions, bringing powerful abilities and unique
skins to the battlefield. Looking ahead, Squad Busters is teasing their spooky
Graveyard Shift season, which kicks off on October 1st with haunted skins and a
brand-new World to explore.

Deadlock

Big update was released for latest Valve game Deadlock that is currently in a
status of closed beta. One of the major features was Low Priority matchmaking
queue. Among other changes are: - Matchmaking now available 24/7 - Improved mini
map with updated icons - Added a behaviour detection system. Players can
temporary lose access to certain functions - Misbehaving players will be put
into separate Low Priority matchmaking queue. For example, players who leave the
game during matches - New players will be match at first only with other newbies
Until recently number of concurrent players was increasing despite the fact that
you can play the game only after receiving invitation. At most 171 thousand
people were playing in one day. Currently the number of online players is going
down a bit.

The popular game engine, Unity, has decided to give up their "runtime fees" that
they introduced pretty much a year ago. 🚀 This scheme of theirs has been
effectively ruining their reputation, making developers go crazy and also made
their CEO resign. 🫠 So what was this model with the runtime fees? It meant
charging the developers a fee every time the game was installed after the game
had made over a minimum revenue limit and was past a certain install count. It
made many game developers to reconsider their use of Unity as a game engine. 💸
They apologized after the initial news and made some softening blows to the
pricing model which made it not that harsh. Still the damage was done; the CEO
had to go and they also laid off 1800 people, which apparently was not related
to this business strategy change.. 🤔 They've admitted it was a bad idea, but
only after "deep consultation with their community, customers and partners"
according to their new CEO Matt Bromberg

back to traditional pricing model that changes only on an annual basis. So it
sounds like it's going to a better direction again, but I'm curious to see how

I recently posted about Concord being a flop and I wasn't exaggerating. They
have decided to shut it down this week only 14 days after its release. 🤯 This
must be some sort of a record considering how big of a game it was thought to be
by the publisher. 💣 They've ceased all sales and promised to refund all
purchases. 💸 I suppose they're going to try the F2P route or something along
those lines. I'm sure they wont let 8 years worth of development costs go down

Has anyone tried the NVIDIA's new App yet? It seems that it finally combines
GeForce Experience with the classic Control Panel. 🎉 It's apparently now in
beta and it includes features such as RTX Video Resolution and an easier way to
install ChatRTX etc. 👍 I've been waiting for this app to become true, but I've
missed the earlier news from earlier this year. It's a bit annoying to have two
different apps when they could be combined into one. Hopefully it is good and
doesn't unnecessarily take multiple GB's of storage like some other
manufacturer's apps, but I trust Nvidia 😊 Oh, and one more thing, it's rumoured
to improve the new revamped overlay that many gamers are used to for recording

Delta Force: Hawk Ops

I'm reading articles about Delta Force: Hawk Ops and it being the rival for
games such as Battlefield franchise and Escape From Tarkov. I guess I should try
it as I'm a fan of both games. 🙂 It sounds interesting as they are not quite
equal in terms of gameplay. But It indeed seems that Delta Force has several
different game modes included: 1. Campaign, which seems to be pretty much a new
version of the Delta Force Black Hawk Down from 2003 2. Hazard Operation, which
is the extract shooter mode featuring NPCs and actual rival players in teams of
three (Tarkov) 3. Havoc Warfare, which is the more massive multiplayer mode with
teams of 32 players fighting against each other (Battlefield) Early August, the
early access alpha version had almost 7000 concurrent players online, so at

Squad Busters

Squad Busters dev team is aiming to change the game and curb losing its
popularity after a great marketing push at the beginning. The last game update
is offering some key gameplay changes. Battle Bag, Chest Keys and Rerolls are
now gone with the latest update. Keys were a very controversial feature. Many
players saw it as a pay2win mechanic and yes, keys were giving you certain
advantage in battle by letting you grow your squad faster or having better
character choices from the boxes. Although developers claim that very few
players took advantage of Keys, so it was hardly adding any injustice to
competition. Anyway, keys are gone and so it the image of a p2w game. All
removed items will transform into compensation for players who had them. Mega
characters are gone too, their models were reused as skins for characters.
Players who had some Mega characters have received these skins for free. Lucky
finds are still in game, but offering a fused character instead of Mega
character. End rewards in Gem Pass are now Pinatas instead of Mega characters.
Chest Doubler feature has been changed and are not being time-based anymore. New
in-game currency has been introduced named Style Tickets, that you can use to
buy some Skins and Emotes. And to boost Emote usage, there's now a feature to
trigger automatic Emote on certain actions. As usual, game update also adds new
area into the game called Lava World as well as 3 new characters: Archer, Miner
and Leon.

Brawl Stars

Spongebob is coming to Brawl Stars! In addition to new set of skins from
Spongebob animated series, it offers new game modes and special item mechanic.
During the Spongebob event players will be able to unlock 5 types of special
items, one per each brawler class. Each item has 3 power levels. To acquire and
upgrade the items, players will need to buy event box in a special event shop
using event currency - Krusty Kash. Currency can be earned by playing matches.
The first new game mode is a new variation of Showdown with 4 teams 3 players
each. This is the first game mode that has more than 10 players in total in a
single match, it's called Trio Showdown. Works pretty much like Duo Showdown,
but with more players. Another new game mode is called Jellyfish Catch where
players need to collect most jellyfish to win. New Brawl Stars update also
offers 2 new brawlers. First brawler is a mole named Moe who is the smallest of
all the brawlers. The other brawler is a legendary samurai who is also a sushi
chef named Kenji. As usual, 6 more brawlers are getting their hypercharge
abilities: Poco, Mortis, Squeak, Tara, Nani and Surge.

World of Warcraft

The War Within has surpassed my expectations by a lot! It finally made WoW feel
like WoW once again. I guess I'm mostly impressed about the story and focus in
the old and beloved characters, but all the new zones and quests are nice too.

Concord

Ouch! Concord seems to be one of the biggest gaming flops of the century. 🫠
According to rumours, Sony might've spent equal sum on their new $40 hero
shooter Concord as they usually do on other first-party titles such as Horizon
series and The Last of Us. That means up to $200 million USD in budjet. 💥 It
has also been in development for approximately 8 years according to the
developer. Well that would surely be fine if there were even a fraction of the
number of players that these other titles have. Unfortunately, Concord was able
to attract less than 700 concurrent players at launch and now the number seems
to be 60.. 😬 I am really curious on how the publisher decided to go "all-in" on
such a risky-sounding product. 🤔 At least it seems to address important social

Note: This is my first impression! I've only played for an hour or two for now.
🙂 It seems like a shallow copy of Escape From Tarkov with some aggressive P2W.
💥 It has great Tarkov-like PvP and many quality-of-life improvements that
Tarkov doesn't have. It's much more casual-friendly, but personally as Tarkov
player of 3-4k hours, it doesn't intrigue me as much. That's why this review is
not ideal. It seems like I can buy everything from the "flea market" from the
beginning and doing quests seem unnecessary without knowing better. In Tarkov,
it feels important to progress the tasks and traders to get better gear and
skills. Hence, making gameplay much better along the way as you progress. Also,
if I run out of money and not being able buy the best-in-slot gear, I can slide
in my IRL credit card and buy more in-game money (and secure containers) without
breaking a sweat. 🫤 I would compare it to a PUBG player playing TDM. Feels the
same for me; Fun but a tad shallow and gets too repetitive after a while. Nice
experience, but with ABI, I don't get the same senseless motivation to grind
through all the quests and waste thousands of hours on the way. For me, it's
more about the journey than it is about the destination. I'm sure many other
people will have it the opposite way and then ABI is the perfect solution for

Diablo IV

Recently there was a new discovery in Diablo IV!

called "Ring of Misfortune" by first receiving a Lucky Coin from a dead body in
Scosglen. He then threw the coin in a wishing well found in the area and after a
meteor rain, it appeared. It seems to have okayish stats, but it has a lucky hit
chance to reduce all of your resource pool. 😄 And that's not all. It cannot be
sold, traded or destroyed so it will remain on your character for good. Is this
continuation for the cow level in Dialbo 4? We do not know yet, but I'm eager to
see what follows. That's not surely the whole story!

Escape From Tarkov

So, I've been playing the new wipe a little again in Escape From Tarkov.
Couldn't resist the temptation even though BSG & Nikita have done some
questionable decisions during the previous wipe. 🙄 It's been as fun as usual.
Quite a few nice-to-have updates, such as the new boss Partisan (pictured),
cultist circle in your hideout to receive useful items through sacrifice and the
newly revamped factory map. ✨ This is the first time for me to try out the
updated armor system and it feels better. A nice balance between the old
"strong" armor system but with more variability. 👍 Still, I was one-tapped to
armpit by the Partisan even though I haven't even decreased my karma by hiding
in the bushes! 🤯 The point of him is that he hunts down campers that have
continuously been hiding in the bushes. There's a separate karma system for
that. 😆 So there is the armpit hitbox but I think it's much smaller than
before. Factory seems quite fresh and more interesting with the new additions.
It's less linear but still well-recognizable. I was able to kill Tagilla and
found out he had a new Viibiin sneaker in his backpack. A new streamer item for
Kappa container quest, Collector, I'd assume? 🤔 There's the marathon mode too,
which allows you to travel directly between maps without going to hideout
in-between. Apparently you're able to stash items in-between, but I haven't
tried that mode yet. There are plenty of new quests for that mode only. That's
pretty much it. Otherwise pretty similar stuff than before. I'll report back

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era

Another classic series returns - Heroes of Might and Magic! Yes, there were
plenty HoMM games and last one was released 9 years ago. Unfortunately, the last
decent one was HoMM V from 2006 and the the most popular that's been played and
maintained by community is still Heroes of Might & Magic III from 1999 and its
multiple community forks. This time Ubisoft seems to be aimed at core HoMM
community, because new HoMM called Olden Era not only set in the world of HoMM
1-3, but look almost exactly like if HoMM III was implemented today. It's just
all that Heroes fans think we want: more Heroes III 😆

Commandos: Origins

Brand new game in famous Commandos game series in 18 years was just announced -
Commandos: Origins. It looks amazing, just like I remember original game looked
like in 1998. Developer Claymore Game Studios doesn't seem to have any other
games. I hope they have some people who has experience in working on tactical
stealth games. Maybe someone from recently closed Mimimi Games? Like every other
game in the series, it's set in World War II period. Every mission has objective
to complete and player controls few characters with unique set of skills making
characters complementing each other. Game supports multiplayer for 2 people
using split-screen or Internet. Commandos: Origins will be released in 2024 on
PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Also game will be available in Game
Pass since day one.

Old School RuneScape

I got Gilded Platelegs from a Hard Clue Scroll in OSRS! 💥 They're worth
approximately 7 million, but more importantly, they are one of the mega-rare
drops from clues. The chance to receive them is 1/35,750 and this is the first
mega-rare item between hard, elite and master clues I've received. 👍 The
collection log for the mega-rares is basically impossible to complete. Nobody
has been able to do it yet as the rarest items, AKA 3rd age items, have a drop
rate between 1/211,250 and 1/313,168 depending on the tier of the clue. And
there are quite many of them, some of which can only drop from Master Clues.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops

Will this one be the Battlefield killer? I have to say it's looking really good,
and even though many people are excited about the extraction mode, I have to say
I'm more interested in seeing how the Conquest mode performs instead. Super cool
to see many great looking games popping up lately! 🤗

Black Myth: Wukong

Wukong is coming out in just 3 days on August 20th! Looks like China has finally
been able to make a proper AAA game. And this is not actually the only one
because there is at least Delta Force: Hawk Ops in development by one of the
Tencent studios as well. It has nothing to do with this game, but to me this
looks like a new beginning for the Chinese AAA development. Bring me some good
games China!

Spectre Divide

Exciting things happening in the tactical shooter genre with Shroud's new game
appearing in social media. Shroud himself has been streaming it during the past
week and it's been gaining some traction. It has an interesting idea: It's a 3v3
tactical shooter but each player controls two "bodies" (characters) so
effectively it's a 6v6 game. Also, there are some decisions that make it
drastically different from CS2 and Valorant, for example there is no aim penalty
when moving. In any case, I'm excited that someone is trying to innovate and
come up with new cool ideas! Right now, this one seems a bit too radical to me
with the 2-body system, but I still wish the best for it!

Diablo IV

🔥 Diablo 4 Season 5: A Hellishly Good Time! 🔥 I’ve been diving into Diablo 4’s
Season 5 a bit, and it seems like they've really improved the already-good
Season 4! 😈 The new features are an absolute blast. Especially the Infernal
Hordes, which is also the new end-game content in addition to Artificers' Pit
from Season 4. From the fresh content and lore to the tweaks in gameplay
mechanics, Blizzard has really outdone themselves this time. The balance changes
have added more depth to different character builds, making more classes and
specs usable and more impactful. 🛡️💥 World bosses are no longer oneshottable,
which makes them feel more meaningful and it seems like better loot is now
easier to get, but still nowhere near easy. It takes probably hundreds of hours
to find your best-in-slot gear if you're looking to min-max your character. 🕒
There is also guaranteed Greater Affix items in the Infernal Hordes after Tier
6, which is really good compared to last season's RNG-fest. 🍀 Plus, the new
cosmetics are 🔥—my character has never looked better! If you haven’t jumped
into Season 5 yet, I'd argue you’re missing out as a Diablo fan. Can’t wait to
see what the rest of the season has in store in terms of events and loooot! 😎

in the world of Tarkov. 💩 Escape from Tarkov players are reeling after a
massive technical malfunction wiped out profiles across the globe. 😱
Battlestate Games confirmed that this isn’t part of any planned event or
wipe—just an unexpected bug that’s left players locked out of the game and, for
many, starting from scratch. Players are reporting their accounts being reset
mid-raid, losing all progress, gear, and even years of stats. With the planned
wipe coming soon, the community is urging Battlestate to hit the reset button
early and move forward with the update. Battlestate has acknowledged the issue,
stating: 📝 "As a result of a technical malfunction there was a loss of part of
the game profiles data. It is not possible to restore profiles in a short period
of time. All players whose profiles have been affected will receive proportional
in-game compensation in a short period of time." Apparently, they do not
consider it as massive disaster as it is because the wipe is nearing its end now

🚨 Fallout: London - Held Together with Duct Tape? 🛠️ Fallout: London, the
ambitious mod that lets you explore a post-apocalyptic version of the UK, has
been making waves—not just for its impressive scope but also for its bugs! 😅

Valve is apparently working on some game and it might be some other project than
Deadlock. They probably constantly working on something unseen from outside, but
this time they already reaching out to voice actors to be involved, which tells
about game being in one of the latest stages of development. Internal project
name is White Sands, some people including insiders think it's related to
Half-Life universe. Mentioning of White Sands project was found in CV of voice
actress Natasha Chandel. Her personal website is down under heavy load after
these news got published. Signs of some Half-Life related game being work in
progress also found in Source 2 graphics engine updates. One of the level
designer who left Valve recently mentioned that he was working on levels for
some new game since 2020. Half-Life: Alyx 2? Hope not
