ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE MAJOR HAS THRIVED AT CSB+SJU

The 2022-23 SJU Senate President was also part of the Entrepreneur Scholars
(E-Scholars) Program through which he traveled to Bosnia and developed his own
business


CSB BIOCHEMISTRY MAJOR’S RESEARCH COULD HELP IN FIGHT AGAINST CANCER

Jocie Larson, also a member of the Bennie swim team, has been studying the p300
protein’s HAT (histone acetyltransferase) domain – specifically looking for
certain drugs that might be able to bind to it and prevent its role in the
expression of certain types of blood cancer


SUMMER RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND IN ARBORETUM AT CSB+SJU

Environmental studies and economics major James Siems studied blooming patterns
of wildflowers and breeding calls of frogs and toads amid over 3,000 acres of
prairie, woods and lakes


A STANDOUT ATHLETE, A STANDOUT STUDENT

Fiona Smith has won two national titles as a distance runner at CSB, while also
excelling in a variety of research projects

COURSE ALLOWS CSB AND SJU STUDENTS TO HELP LOCAL NON-PROFIT EXPAND EFFORTS

 * May 30, 2024

A total of 26 students in visiting assistant professor Julie Fisk’s Global
Business 310 course – titled “Non-Profits, NGOs and Social Innovation” – were
granted access to the operation and finances of Feeding Area Children Together
(FACT).


CSB AND SJU EPISODE OF THE COLLEGE TOUR PREMIERES ON AMAZON PRIME

The episode has been available for viewing on the CSB and SJU website, YouTube
and The College Tour website since February, but will begin streaming on Amazon
Prime itself May 28.


FIONA SMITH EARNS SIXTH NATIONAL TITLE IN FINAL COMPETITION AT CSB

 * May 23, 2024

The standout distance runner had two All-American performances in all at the
2024 NCAA Division III outdoor track and field meet in Myrtle Beach, South
Carolina.


AS TEAM ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON, SJU GRADUATE HAS FRONT ROW SEAT FOR TIMBERWOLVES'
PLAYOFF RUN

 * May 22, 2024

Dr. Aaron Krych '01, an orthopedic surgeon who serves as chair of the Orthopedic
Surgery Department and Division of Sports Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester,
has been the team's orthopedic surgeon the past five years.
