WHAT IS SHIELD?

Shield is a platform that enables you to set custom fees for protection against
loss, damaged, or stolen packages. Instead of offering third-party shipping
insurance, offer package protection to your customers directly. Depending on
store size, merchants on Shield earn anywhere from a few thousand to tens of
thousands per month in additional revenue. Shield is free to install.


WHY SHOULD I USE SHIELD?

Over 600M+ packages get lost, stolen, or damaged annually. Merchants use Shield
to provide customers piece of mind that their package is protected, while
protecting their own margins and generating additional revenue.


HOW MUCH DO CUSTOMERS PAY?

This is entirely up to you. You can configure Shield to upsell a fixed price
(e.g. $2) or a percentage (e.g. 3%) of the customer's order value with custom
pricing rules.


IS SHIELD AN INSURANCE COMPANY?

No - Shield is not an insurance company. We sell software to enable Shopify
brands to charge custom fees to customers that provide a guarantee to the
customer that the brand will protect their package. Brands can customize the
copy on the widget to add various benefits (e.g. reship if package lost or
damaged, free returns, money-back guarantees, etc.)


HOW MUCH CAN I MAKE WITH SHIELD?

You keep the majority of shipping fees collected. After offsetting the upsold
