About Me

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, David
joined Emblem & Badge, Inc., a subsidiary of an OTC-traded firm. In 1987, he
analyzed, planned, and completed a leveraged buyout of the subsidiary and the
'going private' 18 months later. Over 27 years there, he held titles of Project
Manager, Subsidiary Controller, Operations Manager, Division Manager, General
Manager, President, and CEO.

 

He founded EASTbyNORTH Retail Systems in 1990 and managed its growth for 15
years, deploying hardware, software, and networking for more than 25 IT projects
across more than 40 locations. He also served as president of Polar Cap Ice,
Inc., ultimately negotiating its sale to Cape Cod Ice in 1997. Since 2006, he
has been an independent consultant presenting training and analysis of business
processes and security. He edited three books on project management and Agile
processes, and one on the origin of writing in Early China. David has held the
positions of adjunct instructor at Johnson & Wales University, Briarcliffe
College, and American Intercontinental University, teaching courses in
environmental science, entrepreneurship, and business management.

 

David earned his first life insurance license in 2013. Now affiliated with
American Senior Benefits (ASB), a nationwide insurance marketing company
headquartered in Austin, TX, through its affiliate, Charter Financial Group,
David addresses the following concerns of pre- and post-retirement markets: •
Medicare Plan Selection • Running out of money in retirement • Nursing home &
home confinement costs • Premature death • Hospital & doctor bills

 

David collaborates with his clients to find the right products and services that
will create a sound financial future for them and their families. He provides
comprehensive financial needs analysis through a network of professionals with
proficiency in Medicare plan selection consulting, retirement analysis and
programs, estate strategies, and business continuation strategies.

 

David is a past president of the Rotary Club of Providence, RI, the Bureau of
Jewish Education of RI, and a founding director of the RI Printing Industries
Coalition. In 1999-2000, he championed construction of Habitat for Humanity’s
first Healthy House in partnership with RI Lung Association and the Rotary Club
of Providence, funded 85% from in-kind contributions.
