MT Newswires Aug 10, 4:35 AM UTC 12:35 AM EDT, 08/10/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Suntory Beverage & Food (TYO:2587) booked a 51.5% annual rise in first-half profit attributable to owners thanks to cost-cutting activities and revenue growth. The beverage maker's attributable profit jumped to 48.73 billion yen ($361.2 million) from 32.16 billion yen, according to a Thursday filing. Revenue grew 12.4% year over year to 679.01 billion yen in the six months ended June 30. From Sept. 6, the company will begin the payment of a second-quarter cash dividend worth 39 yen per share, unchanged from the previous distribution for 2021-end. Suntory reiterated its outlook on attributable profit of 73.5 billion yen, basic EPS of 237.86 yen, revenue of 1.369 trillion yen, and a year-end dividend per share of 39 yen in the full year ending Dec. 31. Shares dropped 1% in Wednesday's afternoon trade.
