UNIT FAQ'S

What size storage units do you have?

Both of our facilities have a variety of types and sizes of storage units for
short-term and long-term storage. You can view a listing of the range of sizes
offered on each location page. This flexibility has made us the self storage
Perth residents prefer.

Feel free to stop by to view our available storage options or use our FREE space
calculator to determine the right storage solutions for your needs. We have
storage options for items big and small, from boat storage and vehicle storage
to document storage.

What can't I put in my self storage units?

For the safety of others, their belongings, and our secure storage facility, we
do not permit hazardous, dangerous, environmentally harmful, explosive, or other
items that would pose a risk. Perishable, stolen, or illegal items are not
allowed. Our Self Storage Agreement provides a full list of prohibited items.

Do the units have power?

Our indoor enclosed storage spaces and outdoor bays do not have power. Should
you need to power something for a few moments, use one of the few power points
located in the aisles around our storage facility.

How do I lock my self storage unit?

Storage units can be secured using a padlock. Bring one with you from your
Osborne Park home or purchase a lock at the office. We carry a wide range of
keyed padlocks and combination-style locks. It is your responsibility to keep
your unit locked and your key or combination safe and secure.

Who has access to my unit?

Your storage unit is secure and inaccessible by anyone you haven’t allowed. If
you would like our consultants to access your storage unit during office hours
to facilitate regular deliveries to your storage unit on your behalf, a managed
agreement might be the perfect solution.

Can I give my code/key to others?

We highly recommend that you not share your code or key with others in Western
Australia for your belongings’ optimal security. Should a problem arise, you
would be responsible for actions taken by those you allowed into our Self
Storage Perth facility.


OFFICE AND ADMINISTRATION FAQ'S

What hours is the onsite office open?

The offices are open six days a week; we are closed on Sundays. Check our
contact page for specific hours at each location. The onsite office is closed on
Good Friday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and all
Western Australian public holidays.

Are my goods insured?

We recommend that you contact your insurance agent to discuss coverage for
stored items. The majority of insurance policies do cover belongings at a
storage facility, so we don’t provide insurance. By not providing insurance, we
reduce overhead, so we keep rates at our safe and secure facility reasonable.
It’s a perfect solution for us and our customers.

What is the minimum storage period?

We are happy to accommodate short-term and long-term storage needs in our secure
storage spaces. If you need a unit for a month, that is fine. Just let us know
of your intentions upon leasing, to meet the vacate notice requirement. Storage
options under a month are permitted only with a promotional offer.

When reserving storage units at our storage facility, our staff addresses all
your questions about rental fees and costs. We do not have administrative fees,
bonds, or other charges at Billabong Self Storage. Your self storage agreement
includes all rental fees, so you need not worry about hidden charges.


FACILITY FAQ'S

What hours can I access my self storage unit and outdoor parking bay?

Standard access hours for our storage solutions are 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can
access storage units 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

If you have unique circumstances that dictate 24-hour access, let us know. We
can grant 24-hour access if regular hours are unsuitable for your situation. An
example is a commercial business needing to access inventory or document storage
outside regular hours.

What kind of security do you have?

Your belongings are kept safe and secure with 24/7 monitoring by a back-to-base
security system. Strategically-placed exterior perimeter beams assure further
protection.

Additionally, every tenant is given a unique pin code for accessing the
property. We keep a record of all activity, making us the self storage Perth
residents rely on to keep their property safe.

Does Billabong Self Storage offer packaging material?

We offer a wide range of packaging materials, including bubble wrap, packing
tape, and moving boxes in a range of sizes. We hope to add an online store for
packaging materials soon. We also carry various locks to secure your storage
spaces.

Can I store my truck, boat, or caravan?

Our storage facility locations offer outdoor bay storage units that are the
perfect solution for vehicle storage (cars and trucks), boat storage, and
caravans. If you have a secondary vehicle or one you cannot park where you live
in Osborne Park, we have the short-term and long-term storage options you need.

Where are your storage facilities located?

We have two convenient secure storage locations in Western Australia – Gnangara
and Jandakot. Our Gnangara storage facility is north of the river at 12 Supreme
Loop, and our Jandakot storage facility is south of the river at 100 Cutler
Road. 

Can I access my Self Storage units on public holidays?

You can access our Self Storage Perth units during our regular access hours,
even on holidays. Our onsite offices are closed on Sundays and the following
holidays: Good Friday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and
all other Western Australian holidays.
