STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING FOR THE WINDY CITY!

Look how structural engineers controlled a signature high rise in Chicago from
swaying in the wind - so that occupants don’t get seasick!

… using a big tank full of sloshing water at the top of the building!

Simply stated, when the building sways in one direction the water sloshes in the
opposite direction and dampens out the sway!

Sophisticated structural dynamics software was used to optimize the size and
location of the tank!

NOW THIS IS GENIUS!
