It is an excellent opportunity for parents and community members to work together with the school to support and enhance student learning. The purpose of the Council is to provide a platform for the school Administration to consult with parents and increase mutual understanding of matters within the school. The Council also plans in conjunction with the Principal the use of the funds raised by the Foundation. School Council is also an active member of the Alberta School Council Association. Through this membership, our school council ensures that the voice of our school community is heard on a provincial level. SCHOOL COUNCIL EXECUTIVE POSITION NAME PHONE EMAIL President Angie Gehlert 780-977-8257 graminia.scchair@partner.psd.ca angiebyouth@yahoo.ca Vice President Amber Darragh 780-886-3387 robamber@gmail.com Secretary Amanda Bird SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING DATES All Graminia parents and caregivers are welcome to come to the Graminia School Council meetings. The purpose of the Council is to provide a platform for the school administration to consult with parents and increase mutual understanding of matters within the school. All meetings take place in the School Library. Council meetings start at 6:30pm and are immediately followed by Foundation meetings at 8pm. The two groups meet separately in January; both of those meetings start at 6:30pm. We understand that sometimes childcare is hard to manage, especially for busy parents! If you wish to attend an evening School Council meeting but have no childcare available, your children will be welcome. Please keep in mind, however, that the logistics of the building make it difficult for us to provide them with anywhere fun or comfortable to hang out other than in the Junior High Corridor itself. * September 18, 2024 - Minutes * October 9, 2024 - Minutes * November 6, 2024 - Minutes * December 18, 2024 - Minutes * January 15, 2025 (Council only) - Minutes * February 12, 2025 - Minutes * March 12, 2025 - Minutes * April 16, 2025 - Minutes * May 14, 2025 - Minutes * June 11, 2025 - Minutes OTHER INFORMATION FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS * Student Health and Wellness School Council 2024 * September 14, 2023: Graminia 101 * Graminia Council 101 2023/2024 * Powerschool and You * Inclusive Education at Graminia View all School Council Documents For more information contact: Graminia School Phone: 780-963-5035 Email: graminia@psd.ca SHARE A THOUGHT BELL SCHEDULE View all class, recess, lunch and dismissal times.
