During its existence, the university has trained more than 70 thousand
specialists. Given the national and international recognition of the results of
the Dniprо national university, the development and implementation of the most
important state programs in the humanities, the presence in the institution
recognized at the national and international levels of specialists and their
scientific schools, the Presidential Decree of September 11, 2000 . On June 25,
2008, by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, DNU was named
after its famous graduate Oles’ Honchar.

More than 15,000 students study at DNU, more than 12,000 of them are full-time
students. Training of specialists at the university is carried out by full-time,
part-time and external forms of education in 10 fields of knowledge, 37 areas of
training of specialists with higher education and 69 specialties with a licensed
volume of admission of 2860 people.
