With the belief that each child can learn, Verbal Beginnings promotes
independence and improves the quality of life for children with developmental
disabilities through a custom treatment approach based on the principles of
Applied Behavior Analysis. Through a team-based approach, Verbal Beginnings
creates a supportive and resourceful environment, providing ongoing
opportunities for professional growth and advancement. The comprehensive focus
on clients and professionals provides Verbal Beginnings with the resources
necessary to bring families the life changing services from highly trained teams
of Early Intervention Services and ABA therapy professionals.

ABA SERVICES





BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT

Plans are developed to reduce problem behaviors and teach new positive
behaviors.

COMMUNICATION

Children are taught to verbally communicate using effective communication
strategies.

FEEDING

Both self-feeding and food selectivity are addressed to increase mealtime
independence and expand the variety of foods eaten.

SELF-HELP SKILLS

Children are taught to independently complete daily living skills such as
toileting, hand-washing, tooth-brushing and a variety of chores.

SOCIAL SKILLS

Children participate in an engaging social curriculum with similarly aged peers
to learn and develop important social skills.

SCHOOL CONSULTATION

Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) collaborate with each child’s
school to ensure generalization of programming across multiple environments.

EARLY BEGINNINGS:EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES

An early intervention program designed to develop fundamental skills necessary
to succeed in a classroom-based setting, peer interaction and coordinated play.

VERBAL BEGINNINGS IN-HOME:ABA THERAPY IN THE HOME

Verbal Beginnings provides home-based ABA therapy to families throughout
Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington D.C.

VERBAL BEGINNINGS CENTERS:CENTER-BASED ABA THERAPY

Verbal Beginnings Centers offer families a highly effective and affordable
ABA-based Early Intervention program that promote socialization among peers.

SOCIAL BEGINNINGS:SOCIAL SKILLS PROGRAM & GROUPS

The Social Beginnings program is a year-round social skills program designed to
provide an engaging curriculum for each child’s individual needs while being
delivered in a group setting.

HEALTHY BEGINNINGS:FEEDING PROGRAM

A rigorous feeding program to expand variety of food and work on appropriate
mealtime behavior.

NEW BEGINNINGS:AUTISM DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES

New Beginnings provides diagnostic services for children ages 18 months and up
to assess for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
