ALLAN I. CARSWELL ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY



Located on the York University Keele campus, the Allan I. Carswell Observatory
supports student learning and research in astronomy and is a hub for public
engagement and outreach. The Observatory offers a variety of free programming
for the public.

Day in the life of a Biology student🔬

Hi Lions! My name is Jessie, and I am a fourth-year Biology student at York
University. Welcome to a day in my life as a Biology student😊

One thing I love about my program is the vast array of courses I am able to
take, ranging from biotechnology and ecology to the biology of cancer, virology,
neuroscience and animal physiology (my favorite!) My favorite part about my
undergraduate experience is the numerous research opportunities I’ve completed
with world-class researchers at York. I’ve learned so much from the hands-on
experience and recommend everyone to get involved!

If you would like to learn more about Biology programs, including the courses,
co-op options and research opportunities, join us for an online webinar with Dr.
