HAR-FLEX® POWER
HAR-FLEX® POWER: SPACE SAVING POWER SOLUTIONS FOR THE PCB
An extension of the established har-flex® product range with power contacts
capable of up to 18A per pin. Connectors are available as either power versions,
or hybrid (combined power and signal) versions. Power contacts are on 2.54mm
pitch, whereas standard har-flex® is 1.27mm. The high current contacts can be
delivered as SMT or through hole versions, whereas as standard har-flex® is only
SMT. There’s a variety of pin counts with male and female connectors available
in both straight and right-angle orientation.
In addition to the standard har-flex® in 1.27 mm pitch, the har-flex® product
family also offers connectors with 2.54 mm pitch. har-flex® Power was
specifically designed for the transmission of high currents between 12A and 26A
depending on the pole count and ambient temperature. The flexible pole numbers
from 2 to 12 are made possible by a modular manufacturing concept. Moreover,
users can choose between SMT and THR power contact versions. har-flex® Power
connectors are available in straight and angled design and can be used in
parallel (mezzanine) board, extender card and motherboard-to-daughtercard
configurations.
Thanks to the same form factor, har-flex® Power and Signal can be used together
on one PCB. This allows a strict separation of signal and power, while
maintaining a coherent connector system.

HAN® S: RELIABLE CONTACTING FOR MODULAR ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS
HARTING is now presenting the Han® S, the first ever large-scale special
connector for battery storage modules. The new series meets the technical
requirements set down in the latest standards for stationary energy storage
systems (incl. UL 4128) and offers users optimal reliability for connected
units. The series features housings with space for a heavy-current contact up to
200 A.
The Han® S series combines straight attachment housings with angled “sleeves”
that have integrated pivotable protective elements for the contacts. This
combination can be rotated 360°, including when installed – a key feature given
the very limited space between the door opening and energy storage modules in a
storage cabinet. This results in flexible connectors with high current load
capacity enabling the integration of as many storage components as possible
where space is at a premium.
