I FOUND A NEW PLACE ON LONESOME STREET, AT QUARANTINE HOTEL š¶šµ Iām back in Canada tonight, quarantined in a hotel, and itās pretty much my fault. Hereās the sad tale Iām telling. posted at 10:27 pm on Apr.Ā 11,Ā 2021 Comments (0) RESURFACING When I was a young child, I used to love to swim. Iād spend every Saturday morning in swimming lessons, and then after lessons Iād stay at the Glencoe Club pool, diving in to the water, climbing out, jumping in again, splashing, treading water, just generally entertaining myself in a way that seems impossible now that iPhones exist. posted at 12:06 am on Jan.Ā 28,Ā 2021 Comments (0) ON THIS MLK DAY: LIFEāS MOST PERSISTENT AND URGENT QUESTION Today being Martin Luther King Jr. Day, , Iām sharing my favorite quote, not just of among his, but of any: āLifeās most persistent and urgent question is, āWhat are you doing for others?ā ā posted at 11:35 am on Jan.Ā 18,Ā 2021 Comments (0) LIVING IN EACH MOMENT A wise woman once told me a half hour ago that grief is like an hourglass full of sand. posted at 3:48 pm on Jun.Ā 27,Ā 2020 Comments (0) THINGS THAT REMIND ME OF MOM posted at 10:48 pm on May.Ā 20,Ā 2020 Comments (0) A LITTLE HOUSEKEEPING Given a lot of time at home not going out and catching Covid-19, and a new home office desk setup, Iāve taken the time to upgrade my blog to the latest version of EE, remove a ton of cruft, and get things all organized in here under the hood. It feels fresh and clean and I may even come back for more than just big updates. posted at 12:39 am on Mar.Ā 30,Ā 2020 Comments (0) A TIME FOR GOODBYES [I posted on my momās Facebook page today.] I am sorry to be sharing this sad news. Iām one of them. In the course of writing this Iāve watched all 13 episodes of House of Cards and who knows how many more West Wing episodes, and Iāve spent any number of blurred hours falling down internet rabbit holes. All instead of reading, or writing, or working, or spending real time with people I love.ā ...who said it? āLive a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.ā ...who said it? āI play with variables constantly.ā ...who said it? āOnly the person who has learned Continual Love coming from a heart of Gratitude/Worship can effectively deal with the problem of loneliness.ā ...who said it?
