My mum recently passed away in Torbay hospital. Being a Brixham family, we did
not hesitate to choose Stockman and Loram to arrange her funeral. Vanessa was
very compassionate and caring throughout and made the whole process a beautiful
experience.I made the very difficult decision to go and see my mum at the chapel
of rest. I was apprehensive and quite worried I’d have made the wrong decision
but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Vanessa dressed her so very beautifully,
tastefully presented yet so glamorous. Mum would have loved it and I have no
regrets! Seb made an out of hours visit especially for me and my daughter to see
her. He also was thoughtful and had a very calming influence over me.
The funeral service itself was perfect, accommodating all the needs of our
family, nothing was too much, including a quiet, private graveside ceremony.
Vanessa also chose the most fantastic Reverend, who was so very well suited to
myself. He visited me at home and guided me through the plans, with a wonderful
sense of humour that lightened the load. Without him leading the service I would
not have got through it as well as I did.

We are very thankful to all the team involved and highly recommend this family
run business, to care for your loved one, on their last journey.
A special thank you to Vanessa, Seb and the Reverend Chris who looked after me
so well during such a sad time.

Just to say a big thank you for the outstanding service provided by Stockman and
Loram on the occasion of my mother’s funeral.

on the numerous tasks that need to be completed when a person passes away was
invaluable in helping me to cope at a difficult time. Their professionalism,
sensitivity and attention to detail culminated in a moving and well managed

insertion of the music and video presentations between the family tributes

Robert Hunt arranged my late husband’s funeral. He was really professional and
caring. Nothing was too much trouble and he was always available at the end of a
phone for queries, advice, etc. He was considerate and mindful of our feelings
after losing our precious John. He even stopped outside John’s barber shop for 5
minutes so that his customers could pay their respects – even though this was in
Kingsteignton and we had left from Torquay. Timings were absolutely spot on and
later, when we interred John’s ashes in with his mother and father, he was there
