WHAT IS THIS?

The Basement is a live Escape Room experience. We specialize in unique and
thrilling, heavily themed puzzle solving adventures. Our brave guests are locked
inside of a story with the goal of discovering clues and unraveling secrets to
solve their way to safety.


WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?

An escape room is an immersive, interactive experience where guests are locked
in a room filled with puzzles, clues, and hidden items, with one goal in mind:
ESCAPE! Or in our case, SURVIVE! Click here for a more detailed description of

WAIT, IS THIS A HAUNTED HOUSE?

No, at an escape room, the guests (or victims) are an active part of the
experience; we ask a little more of you than to merely walk through a spooky
maze. To complete your objectives before the clock ticks down to zero, you will
need to engage with the room and its contents.


HOW MUCH DO ESCAPE ROOMS COST?

Depending on how many people are in your party and what day of the week you want
to do the escape room, prices will vary. The most common price point is $36 per
person with a 2-person minimum and an 8-person maximum for team sizes.


HOW LONG DOES AN ESCAPE ROOM LAST?

Escape rooms can take anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour. Please contact
us by clicking here if you would like more information about a certain escape
room and its difficulty level.


WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM LIKE?

It's like a real life video game. You and your friends will be immersed in the
story we've created for you and you'll have to use critical thinking skills,
teamwork, and logic in order to succeed.


ARE THESE EXPERIENCES SCARY?

Yes and No. Our focus is to create an immersive and fun, puzzle-driven
experience for our guests. That being said, the stories we tell through our
games contain horror elements and can be considered frightening or upsetting. We
don’t rely on cheap jump-scares or gorey shock-factors. We instead create a
creeping sense of unease, that anything may happen when you walk into the dark.


WHAT IF I GET TOO SCARED?

If at any time during your experience, you no longer wish to participate, you
are welcome to leave your game. We pride ourselves on our empathetic and kind
staff who are prepared to assist with any spooked guests. Please note that no
refunds or reschedules will be available to guests who tap out of their
experience.


ARE YOU REALLY LOCKED IN AN ESCAPE ROOM?

Of course! You don't want it any other way, right? The doors are locked from the
moment your game begins. For the comfort and safety of our guests, there are
“Panic Buttons” located near the entry door to each room. If pressed, these
buttons will automatically unlock the doors so that you may exit the room
safely.


WHAT SHOULD I WEAR OR BRING AN ESCAPE ROOM?

We recommend that you dress in regular clothes. Most people wear jeans and a
t-shirt but you can dress however you want!



Events at The Basement
The Basement is one of the most highly recommended and best escape rooms in the
world for you to enjoy. With escape games full of mystery and incredible
storytelling, you'll hardly want the adventure to end. But that's the challenge,
isn't it?
Birthday Parties

Escape rooms are always a great option for a birthday party extravaganza. But
The Basement Escape Room can take your private event and make it an evening
you'll never forget.

Corporate Events

Want to work on your team building skills but add a bit of adventure into the
mix? Bring your colleagues to The Basement to solve puzzles and play games as
all the clues start to align your collective thinking hats.

Family Events

Make it a family night as friends and families get to solve puzzles and coax
game masters for hints. Try out The Study or visit other rooms to play logic
puzzles until time runs out. Either way, your evening is guaranteed to take an
exciting leap once you've escaped successfully.

Bachelor Parties

Bring your bachelor party and give your groomsman an experience they'll never
forget. With a private event area, catering options, and all sorts of fantastic
features, they'll be talking about this for years!
