from a small town in Northeastern Washington State, Colville, and since 2010 it
has been shared and used by teams everywhere!
FNB questions are posted in mid-spring for the new PBE season and QNA questions
are posted in mid-fall.

Shortcuts
Team Assignments: You may add, change, or delete names and team member chapter
assignments. The full list of names with chapter assignments can be copied and
pasted directly into the text box. After finishing your changes click anywhere
outside of the text box then the engine will calculate the number of verses that
have been assigned to each team member and apply your changes to the quiz
engine. All names must start with a letter and may not contain special
characters.
Team Assignments
Select Content: You can select multiple Bible chapters and commentary sections
while the drop-down window is open. If you place your name at the top of the
team list it will be pre-selected for you.
Select Content
Quiz: Start a quiz using the selected settings. If there are no questions
meeting your selected options, you will see zeros in the selected content. All
quiz engine activity is local to your specific web browser and device; as long
as the window is open in your browser, you will not need internet access to
continue using the engine.

Save: Immediately save all quiz settings, including content selections. All quiz
settings are also saved when you start a quiz, and partial settings are saved
when selecting options, except for content selections.

PDF : Starts a quiz and generates PDF flashcards of QNA questions using the
options you have selected.

List: Display your quiz as a long list of questions. You will be returned to the
standard quiz window when you exit the list. Once you are at the standard quiz
window, you can score your answers.

List Answers: Displays the answers to the listed questions all at once.

Close List: Closes the list and returns you to the standard quiz window. Your
answers are saved and can be scored.

Language: ENG, quiz in English. ESP, quiz in Spanish. FRH, quiz in French.

Quiz Size: How many questions should be included in the quiz? If there are fewer
questions available given your setting, the engine will adjust the number
accordingly. Maximum: 540.

Maximum Points: Maximum point value for an individual question. Maximum: 1200.

Question Type: QNA, question and answer only. FNB, fill-in-blank only. Both,
includes both QNA and FNB.
Question Type
Percent Blanked: What percentage of words in the text do you want to be blanked
out? A larger number will result in more words being blanked, while a smaller
number will result in fewer words being blanked. Minimum: 5%. Maximum: 95%.

Question Order: For SEQ, questions are selected and presented in chapter-verse
sequence. For ORD, questions are selected randomly and presented in
chapter-verse order. For RAN, questions are selected randomly and presented in
random order. When using ORD and RAN, all chapters may not be included in any
single quiz. In all cases, you may want to turn on the filter to allow exclusion
of questions you have already answered.
Question Order
Filter: With the filter ON, questions that you have answered correctly are
excluded from the quiz. With the filter OFF, all questions are included in the
quiz. When the SEQ order is selected, you may want to use a large quiz size;
otherwise, you will just cycle through the same questions.
Filter
Season Verses: Certain verses will be hidden by default if they are excluded
from testing for the season. The verse count reflects the actual number of
verses available for testing. All Verses: All verses from every chapter are
accessible no matter the season.
Season Verses or All Verses
Redo: Keeps track of questions scored less than 100% so that they can be
included in future quizzes. This is useful for revisiting questions that are
giving you difficulty.

<<: Clicking the icon while on the first question quits the quiz; clicking the
icon while on any other question causes the quiz engine to jump back to the
first question, and clicking the icon again quits the quiz.
< : Advances the quiz questions backward one question at a time. If the answer
button was never pressed for the current question, it will not be counted in
your score.
Ref: Toggles the display of the reference for the current question.

Ans: Displays the answer to the current question along with the reference and
scorekeeping tools. If you do not click the answer button, the question is
effectively skipped and will not be included in your score.

> : Advances the quiz questions one question at a time. If the answer button
is not pressed, the current question will not be counted in your score.
>>: Jumps to the last question and when clicked again, it displays the score
summary. Finally, if clicked once more, the quiz engine jumps back to the
previous question.
- : Decreases the points earned for the current question one point at a time
and adds the question to the redo list.
+ : Increases the points earned for the given question one point at a time,
but never beyond the points possible for a question. Any points earned less than
the full value possible adds the question to the redo list. Note: For a
multi-point question, it may be more efficient to mark an answer wrong and then
add points back in for the parts you got right.

Wrong: Sets the points earned for your answer to zero and adds the question to
the redo list.

Erase: Erases your answer and the points associated with the question will be
deleted from your score. At this point, you can either answer the question again
or move on to the next question. If you do not click the answer button, the
question will be effectively skipped and will not be included in your score.

Scores: Displays a summary of the sections, the number of questions, the points
earned, the points possible, and the percentage scores for the quiz thus far.

Update: An internet connection is required to reload the PBE Quiz Engine and
download any available updates to the questions and the engine. Your quiz
settings will be saved, and if a quiz is open it will be closed.

Restore Example: Restores the team assignment text box to the default example.

Reset: Reset the filter to empty by deleting all of your answered question
history. It also sets all quiz options, except language, content selections, and
team assignments, to their defaults.

Team Assignments: You may add, change, or delete names and team member chapter
assignments. The full list of names with chapter assignments can be copied and
pasted directly into the text box. After finishing your changes click anywhere
outside of the text box then the engine will calculate the number of verses that
have been assigned to each team member and apply your changes to the quiz
engine. All names must start with a letter and may not contain special
characters.
Team Assignments
Select Content: You can select multiple Bible chapters and commentary sections
while the drop-down window is open. If you place your name at the top of the
team list it will be pre-selected for you.

Quiz: Start a quiz using the selected settings. If there are no questions
meeting your selected options, you will see zeros in the selected content. All
quiz engine activity is local to your specific web browser and device; as long
as the window is open in your browser, you will not need internet access to
continue using the engine.

Save: Immediately save all quiz settings, including content selections. All quiz
settings are also saved when you start a quiz, and partial settings are saved
when selecting options, except for content selections.

PDF : Starts a quiz and generates PDF flashcards of QNA questions using the
options you have selected.

List: Display your quiz as a long list of questions. You will be returned to the
standard quiz window when you exit the list. Once you are at the standard quiz
window, you can score your answers.

List Answers: Displays the answers to the listed questions all at once.

Close List: Closes the list and returns you to the standard quiz window. Your
answers are saved and can be scored.

Quiz Size: How many questions should be included in the quiz? If there are fewer
questions available given your setting, the engine will adjust the number
accordingly. Maximum: 540.

Maximum Points: Maximum point value for an individual question. Maximum: 1200.

Question Type: QNA, question and answer only. FNB, fill-in-blank only. Both,
includes both QNA and FNB.

Percent Blanked: What percentage of words in the text do you want to be blanked
out? A larger number will result in more words being blanked, while a smaller
number will result in fewer words being blanked. Minimum: 5%. Maximum: 95%.

Question Order: For SEQ, questions are selected and presented in chapter-verse
sequence. For ORD, questions are selected randomly and presented in
chapter-verse order. For RAN, questions are selected randomly and presented in
random order. When using ORD and RAN, all chapters may not be included in any
single quiz. In all cases, you may want to turn on the filter to allow exclusion
of questions you have already answered.
Question Order
Filter: With the filter ON, questions that you have answered correctly are
excluded from the quiz. With the filter OFF, all questions are included in the
quiz. When the SEQ order is selected, you may want to use a large quiz size;
otherwise, you will just cycle through the same questions.
Filter
Season Verses: Certain verses will be hidden by default if they are excluded
from testing for the season. The verse count reflects the actual number of
verses available for testing. All Verses: All verses from every chapter are
accessible no matter the season.

Redo: Keeps track of questions scored less than 100% so that they can be
included in future quizzes. This is useful for revisiting questions that are
giving you difficulty.

<<: Clicking the icon while on the first question quits the quiz; clicking the
icon while on any other question causes the quiz engine to jump back to the
first question, and clicking the icon again quits the quiz.
< : Advances the quiz questions backward one question at a time. If the answer
button was never pressed for the current question, it will not be counted in
your score.
Ref: Toggles the display of the reference for the current question.

Ans: Displays the answer to the current question along with the reference and
scorekeeping tools. If you do not click the answer button, the question is
effectively skipped and will not be included in your score.

is not pressed, the current question will not be counted in your score.
>>: Jumps to the last question and when clicked again, it displays the score
summary. Finally, if clicked once more, the quiz engine jumps back to the
previous question.
- : Decreases the points earned for the current question one point at a time
and adds the question to the redo list.
+ : Increases the points earned for the given question one point at a time,
but never beyond the points possible for a question. Any points earned less than
the full value possible adds the question to the redo list. Note: For a
multi-point question, it may be more efficient to mark an answer wrong and then
add points back in for the parts you got right.

Wrong: Sets the points earned for your answer to zero and adds the question to
the redo list.

Erase: Erases your answer and the points associated with the question will be
deleted from your score. At this point, you can either answer the question again
or move on to the next question. If you do not click the answer button, the
question will be effectively skipped and will not be included in your score.

Scores: Displays a summary of the sections, the number of questions, the points
earned, the points possible, and the percentage scores for the quiz thus far.

Update: An internet connection is required to reload the PBE Quiz Engine and
download any available updates to the questions and the engine. Your quiz
settings will be saved, and if a quiz is open it will be closed.

Restore Example: Restores the team assignment text box to the default example.

Reset: Reset the filter to empty by deleting all of your answered question
history. It also sets all quiz options, except language, content selections, and
team assignments, to their defaults.
