This should be business as usual for our protagonist. With the merriment fading
into the background, you are informed by Dmitry that all is not well at Facility
3826 - a large group of scientific complexes responsible for Polymer studies,
robotics research, and the Kollektiv 2.0 neural network – and tasked with
investigating the situation. Both Kollektiv 2.0’s launch and Sechenov’s upcoming
speech are on everybody’s lips, a parade honouring the next major chapter within
the nation’s future already well underway. The walkways are absolutely packed
with people going about their daily business, robots assisting with repairs or
selling ice-cream, various “Thought” device stalls pressuring all who pass by
into grabbing one, and a selection of large monuments to marvel at. Evidence of
the passion and experience within the team is observable from every angle.

Kollektiv 2.0 also grants people total control over machines with the power of
their minds, as long as the required “Thought” device is installed and the
person has undergone Polymerization – the process of being injected with an
amount of Neuropolymer.Īs I spent the first 20-ish minutes of Atomic Heart
strolling through Chelomey City, a shining beacon of the USSR’s artistic,
scientific and militaristic achievements, I couldn’t help but pinch myself as a
reminder that everything around me was part of Mundfish’s first big-budget
gaming release.

The launch of the Kollektiv 2.0 neural network is just around the corner, aiming
to fully connect all of robot and humankind together within the same system,
allowing for overnight mastery of fields usually requiring multiple years of
study to complete. Now an everyday sight within Soviet society, machines have
almost totally replaced jobs and duties previously performed by humans.
Professor Dmitry Sechenov identified a mysterious wonder-substance known simply
as “Polymer” that was employed within various scientific and biological studies,
ultimately leading to the success of the USSR in the war as well as a
substantial boom within the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. The
Soviet Union has emerged from World War II victorious and more technologically
advanced than ever - and it’s all thanks to a discovery made by one man back in
1936. Developed by Mundfish and published by Focus Entertainment and 4Divinity,
Atomic Heart tells a tale beginning in the year 1955 of an alternate timeline.

When I do my own top 10 of indie game dev's do's and don't, 'being seduced by
the next best thing' would definitely be up there. The next best thing btw was
Unit圓D, so I have that to blame I guess. Published Nostalgic Elder Scrolls fans
can return to the series' first entry with a free remake that still holds on to
the charm of the original game. At the time I Knew I would need to take a couple
steps back to move forward, (but didn’t count on various real life situations
meant my spare time dramatically decreased, and work slowing ground to a halt)
The problem was that the next shiny thing came along, and I was completely
seduced. In hindsight, I should of kept going with this as It was pretty well
advanced. I can remember having NPC's wandering around the Town in a seemingly
intelligent manor. The good thing is that it was randomly created, and another
good thing was the random generator also created the nodes for the A*
Pathfinding. While Arena featured the entirety of Tamriel as an explorable area,
and Daggerfall featured sizeable portions of two provinces of Tamriel,
Hammerfell and High. The Random town generator wasn't particularly
sophisticated, I think you can see in the screenshot that it was basically rows
and row of similar looking buildings. (Irrwizard was the name of the game
framework I created based on the Irrlicht rendering engine) Irrwizard, Return to
Arena, was probably one of my best attempts at creating an Elder Scrolls Arena
remake. This is another one of my projects that has since been permanently
confined to my extremely large collection of dead or unfinished projects.

Only the first arc was a bit different in the sense that another character from
that arc now joined Tarzan's gang and became a regular but that's it. Then we
got the serious arcs which are basically just tournament arcs which not many
anime can pull off even making interesting and again I know this is an older
anime but it still failed to even make me remotely interested in them when all
that happens are repeat things like Tarzan and his friends always beating up the
bad guys and the characters from that arc gets their happy endings and you never
see them again as they are quickly forgotten and back to Africa again. go into
this expecting it anyways, true it starts out very episodic and heavily focused
on the comedy aspect of it which they fail miserably at or maybe succeed at if
you are 12 years old and like piss/poop jokes with the occasional boner jokes
because those are just too funny or maybe it's just me having no humor these
days. So Jungle no Ouja Taa-chan or Jungle King Tar-chan for the English title
is an anime that aired in the 90s though the original source material, the manga
started publishing in the 80s and got lots of more volumes than the anime only
covered with it's 50 episodes length which to me is a good thing anyways given
how awful this anime is but I'm sure my rating for this spoiled it already, yes
I did end up hating it and let me explain my reasons as to why.
