ALHAMBRA

The Alhambra is the greatest legacy from the time of the Moors. It was the
centrepiece for an entire civilisation and is most memorable for its attention
to detail. Decorated archways, royal gardens, impressive fountains, Islamic
calligraphy...you’ll struggle to find a more beautiful building anywhere else in
Europe.

ALBAYCÍN

The Albaycín is a Granada district to explore on foot, without a map. It dates
to the 11th century and is packed with narrow cobbled streets. There’s something
to discover on every corner and not just something to see. This is a district
that will impress on all your senses.

TAPAS

Granada is the home of real tapas. With every drink you order the bartender
brings out a plate of food to eat. Authentic bars don’t have a tapas menu, they
give you tapas so you keep ordering drinks. It’s a way to experience local
Granandino culture, every evening.

SIERRA NEVADA

The Sierra Nevada mountains appeal to many types of visitor. There are hiking
trails galore, with some of them ideal for a full-day adventure. Small
whitewashed villages are filled with Moorish culture, while other villages are
perfect for a quiet weekend away from Granada.

FLAMENCO

A passionate guitar players strums away. A dancer twirls and stamps her feet.
Singing fills the room. Flamenco isn’t just a show in Granada, it’s a way of
life. Other than Seville there’s nowhere better in the world to experience this
authentic flamenco culture.

SPANISH COURSES IN GRANADA

Linguaschools Granada offers a range of courses based on how many hours per week
you want to study. Group lessons are in small classes that enables lots of
teacher contact. You will be placed in a group with students who have a similar
language ability, yet probably have a completely different nationality and
background. This makes for a very stimulating environment.

You can study for 10, 20, 25, or 30 lessons per week, with courses starting
every Monday. These hours can be exclusively group lessons, only individual
lessons, or a combination of group and individual lessons. Linguaschools Granada
also offers various exam preparation courses. For something truly local,
consider the special Spanish and flamenco program, mixing language with guitar
or dance.

experience the first time. Linguaschools Granada is a small Spanish school
located very close to the center of town. They offer group and private classes,
then in the afternoon, different excursions around town. The optional afternoon
activities include a variety of adventures, including a neighborhood walk
through the Albaycin, a Flamenco show in a famous cave in Sacromonte, and a
visit to the Arabic Baths. Each week the activities change! For example, there
is a "Ruta de Tapas" where a teacher takes the students to a couple great tapas
bars. On the weekends, there are trips out to locations outside the city, like a
day at the beach or a hike through the Sierra Nevadas. All of the teachers are
amazing. I worked with Alicia and Ana on this trip. Both were so friendly and
helpful. They made the classes interesting and useful. Sometimes we would work
on reading and writing, or other times we would simply chat (while secretly
practicing the subjunctive and my speaking and listening skills.) I took some
group classes and private classes. Both had their advantages. In group classes,
I met so many students from different countries and learned about their
cultures. In private classes, I was able to get individualized lessons for what
I needed to work on. Between classes, all the students and teachers would go to
a cafe across the street to chat and unwind. During my first stay two years ago,
Linguaschools connected me with a Spanish family to live with. I had such a
great experience, I requested the same family and was able to stay with them
again. They all were so friendly and patient as I tried to speak my broken
Spanish to them. Every day their would be a HUGE lunch with the whole family and
sometimes even the neighbors. I loved spending time in the living room chatting
with them as I completed my homework. They even included me in family events,
like a weekend at the beach or a dinner out to watch Spain in the World Cup. I
would completely recommend staying with a family if given a chance. (My Spanish
mom works with several schools in the Granada area, and she says Linguaschools
is the best.) :) I returned a second time to the school because it was such a
great, personalized experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Linguaschools to
anyone wanting a true Spanish experience. see more...

Die Sprachschule hat uns total gefallen? mit wirklich netten Lehren und gutem
Unterricht. Ich kann mich nur den vorherigen Rezessionen anschließen. Was etwas
schade aber wahrscheinlich unvermeidlich war, ist das es in unserem Kurs ein
wenig zu einfach, im höheren jedoch etwas zu schwer war. Ansonsten?

systemised way of teaching grammar, which suited me well. And most importantly,
they were the loveliest people, made the classes fun, and I consider them my
friends now :) I also enjoyed the small class sizes and that the learning pace
was intensive, allowing quick improvement. I chose the shared apartment for my
accommodation and was satisfied with the quality, would recommend it to others.
It looked nice and was very comfortable. However I thought that the kitchen
wasn't as well-equipped as described, since there was no oven. Overall I would
highly recommend this school to anyone motivated to learn Spanish! see more...
