Many of these animals come to us so traumatised that they have lost all trust in mankind. It may take years of intensive socialisation before these dogs are ever ready to trust humans again. ABOUT Saved Souls Animal Sanctuary was founded in 2010 by Gabriela Leonhard. The shelter is located in Ban Kok Gnam in the province of Khon Kaen, in northeastern Thailand. 430 dogs and 91 cats have found a new home with us. Read More PROVIDE LOVE Our amazing staff and volunteers provide our dogs and cats the love and cuddles they deserve. Daily walks with as many dogs as possible. Bonding time with our cats in our lovely cat shelter. For the disabled dogs we have wheelchairs and a big dog park where they can sniff around. The other dogs can go out for walks in the peaceful area around our foundation. PROVIDE A HOME We provide a safe and loving home for all our Saved Souls. We have on-site veterinary care for all animals who have been abandoned and/or are wounded. We try our best to make sure all our animals get the love and care that they deserve. PROVIDE HEALTH CARE Our on-site veterinarian provides day to day care including sterilisation, amputation, medication for blood parasites, liver diseases and other illnesses suffered by rescued animals. For more serious operations, animals are taken to Khon Kaen University Animal Hospital or other professional hospitals. ADOPTION PROGRAM We adopt dogs to homes both local and nationwide. With our care, love and training we ensure that adopted dogs are leash trained before leaving us. We organize adoption events were the dog(s) can meet their new owners. Want to join one? Contact us to make an appointment. WHAT WE DO We are specialized in taking care of disabled and paralyzed dogs. Where other shelters would put them to sleep, we believe that they can and have the right to live a happy live full of love and joy. We take care of dogs and cats that would have had no place to go elsewhere. Around 60 of the dogs in our care are disabled or blind.
