their skills, develop their character, learn about the fundamentals of teamwork and do so in a cost-effective manner. HCYSA and the Tejano Select Team are under the direction and guidance of American Youth Soccer

<p style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14px;">The coaches of the select team commit to providing a positive, and constructive environment to foster the development of players. Coaches will do their best to remain fair to
all players on the team, and ensure communication is provided to the parents as well as the players.</p>
<ul style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14px;">
<li>Bring the years of experience in coaching football (soccer) and apply them to the select team to foster player development</li>
<li>Work with players and parents to continue to develop the character and skills of each player on the team</li>
<li>Keep up with AYSO, STYSA and US Soccer training requirements necessary to ensure that the latest knowledge and instruction are made available to the team</li>
<li>Provide open, honest and frequent communications to players and parents</li>
</ul>
<h3 style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14px;"><b>Parent Commitment</b></h3>
<p style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14px;">Parent’s will also participate in the select team to assist in creating the proper team environment, and ensure that players are staying in line with the culture of the team.</p>

<li>Parents will commit to being at all practices on time and in the proper uniform</li>
<li>Bring in proper funds to pay for the uniforms and tournaments</li>
<li>Notify coaches when they are unable to attend practice or a team meeting</li>
<li>Utilize the GroupMe and Team Snap (Under Evaluation) Application to ensure the team stays on the same page</li>
<li>Parents will refrain from improper language, and <u>extra</u> sideline coaching. They will let the coaches coach and interact with the team, referees and opposing team</li>

<p style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14px;">Players on the team commit to showing up on time, ready to practice, and with the proper mental attitude in order to strengthen their skills and knowledge of the game. </p>

<li>Players will respect their teammates, and provide constructive criticism</li>
<li>Players will not use inappropriate language towards their teammates, coaches, or referees</li>
<li>Players commit to practicing on their own, and using what is taught during the team practices when they are at home</li>
<li>Players will listen to the coaches and listen the first time to instruction</li>

<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 14px;"> So, for the HCYSA Regular Season fees per player are approximately $75. In addition to that fee we require an additional $165 per
player<br> to participate in Select Soccer. This includes:</span></font><br>
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 14px;"> - 2 Game Uniforms and 1 Practice Uniform</span></font><br>
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 14px;"> - 2-3 Tournaments in surrounding areas like Austin, Dallas, Houston, Kerrville, and San
Antonio.</span></font><br>
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 14px;"> - Weekly practice sessions to improve the player and the person</span></font><br><br>
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 14px;"> In Addition, your player will be invited to go to College Prep Camps to continue develop their skills and compete against players </span></font><br>

games?</strong><br>
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 14px;"> Most Tournaments are weekend tournaments that will occur on Saturday and Sunday, and include 2-3 game a day, depending on how the

old, and again depends on the skills and makeup of the players. We offer Teams to both girls and boys in these age ranges.</span></font><br><br><strong
style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14px;">6. What if I do not how good my son or daughter is? Can we come practice with the team?</strong><br>

Coaches will do their best to remain fair to all players on the team, and ensure communication is provided to the parents as well as the players. * Bring the years of experience in coaching football (soccer) and apply them to the select team to foster player development * Work with players and parents to continue to develop the character and skills of each player on the team * Keep up with AYSO, STYSA and US Soccer training requirements necessary to ensure that the latest knowledge and instruction are made available to the team * Provide open, honest and frequent communications to players and parents PARENT COMMITMENT Parent’s will also participate in the select team to assist in creating the proper team environment, and ensure that players are staying in line with the culture of the team. * Parents will commit to being at all practices on time and in the proper uniform * Bring in proper funds to pay for the uniforms and tournaments * Notify coaches when they are unable to attend practice or a team meeting * Utilize the GroupMe and Team Snap (Under Evaluation) Application to ensure the team stays on the same page * Parents will refrain from improper language, and extra sideline coaching. They will let the coaches coach and interact with the team, referees and opposing team PLAYER COMMITMENT Players on the team commit to showing up on time, ready to practice, and with the proper mental attitude in order to strengthen their skills and knowledge of the game. * Players will respect their teammates, and provide constructive criticism * Players will not use inappropriate language towards their teammates, coaches, or referees * Players commit to practicing on their own, and using what is taught during the team practices when they are at home * Players will listen to the coaches and listen the first time to instruction * If the player or parents do not want to participate in the Select Program, they will inform the coaches of the decision in writing via email. Contact Email FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. Do I have to play in the HCYSA Regular season, or can I just play Tejano Select Soccer? We require all players to play in the Fall Season of HYCSA. Main reason is that this will provide the player insurance and fulfill requirements for players to be part of a parent league. We also believe that more touches on the ball assist players in getting better, with different coaches, different styles of play and this allows for that to take place. 2. How much does Tejano Select Soccer cost? So, for the HCYSA Regular Season fees per player are approximately $75. In addition to that fee we require an additional $165 per player to participate in Select Soccer. This includes: - 2 Game Uniforms and 1 Practice Uniform - 2-3 Tournaments in surrounding areas like Austin, Dallas, Houston, Kerrville, and San Antonio. - Weekly practice sessions to improve the player and the person In Addition, your player will be invited to go to College Prep Camps to continue develop their skills and compete against players throughout Texas. 3. What does a tournament look like? How many games? Most Tournaments are weekend tournaments that will occur on Saturday and Sunday, and include 2-3 game a day, depending on how the team does at the tournament. They start at 7AM and usually end by 7PM on a Saturday and Sunday. 4. Who are the coaches of Tejano Select Soccer? Coach Robert Martinez, Coach Michael Leyva, Coach Nelson White and Coach Jon Fauner-Shantz 5. What age groups are the teams? 14U - Usually has players from 12-14 on it but depends on the skills and makeup of the players. 10U has players from 8-10 years old, and again depends on the skills and makeup of the players. We offer Teams to both girls and boys in these age ranges. 6. What if I do not how good my son or daughter is? Can we come practice with the team? Bring them out and let us meeting them! We usually practice on Sundays at the Original Fields and the times vary based on the heat/weather.
