AAFB INFRASTRUCTURE EIS * Home * About * Get Involved * Resources * Provide Comments * Home * About * Get Involved * Resources * Provide Comments Announcements The Department of the Air Force (DAF) initially issued a Notice of Intent on April 20, 2021, to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Infrastructure Upgrades at Andersen Air Force Base (AFB), Guam. Following the initial scoping period conducted from April to May 2021, the DAF placed the EIS on a strategic pause to further consider the scope of the EIS, including the requirements of evolving strategic initiatives in the Indo-Pacific and how the Proposed Action could best support these initiatives. As a result of the strategic pause, the DAF revised the scope of the Proposed Action to include the beddown of up to 12 Republic of Singapore Air Force F-15 fighter aircraft and associated mission support. The DAF initiated an additional public scoping period for the revised Proposed Action that will be analyzed in the EIS for F-15 Beddown and Infrastructure Upgrades at Andersen AFB, Guam. The Notice of Intent, which initiated the additional 30-day public scoping period, was published in the Federal Register on December 15, 2023. The public scoping period closed on January 15, 2024. To learn more about the project, visit the “About” and “Get Involved” pages. The DAF will review comments that were received during the public scoping period to inform development of the Draft EIS. WELCOME AND THANK YOU FOR VISITING Welcome to the website for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for F-15 Beddown and Infrastructure Upgrades at Andersen Air Force Base (AFB), Guam. The Department of the Air Force (DAF) is proposing to beddown and support the mission requirements of up to 12 Republic of Singapore Air Force F-15 fighter aircraft, and construct infrastructure upgrades at Andersen AFB, Guam. Along with the beddown of up to 12 F-15 aircraft, the DAF is proposing to construct upgrades adjacent to the northwest corner of the existing airfield operations area and within the munitions storage area, totaling approximately 209 acres on Andersen AFB. Once F-15 beddown and construction is completed, airfield and infrastructure operations would be consistent with the types of operations currently occurring on the installation. This website is the DAF’s online center for public information and involvement in the EIS process! The DAF encourages the public and interested parties to review the information and documents provided on this website and participate in the EIS process.
