ABOUT US

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an
international organisation that works to build better policies for better lives.
We draw on more than 60 years of experience and insights to shape policies that
foster prosperity and opportunity, underpinned by equality and well-being. We
work closely with policy makers, stakeholders and citizens to establish
evidence-based international standards and to find solutions to social, economic
and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and
strengthening policies to fight climate change to bolstering education and
fighting international tax evasion, the OECD is a unique forum and knowledge hub
for data, analysis and best practices in public policy. Our core aim is to set
international standards and support their implementation – and help countries
forge a path towards stronger, fairer and cleaner societies.

In the next 5 years, 50% of the skills required for our jobs will change,
with AI innovations accelerating that shift to 70%. As AI technical skills
grow in demand, human skills like communication, creativity, and teamwork —
often referred to as "soft skills"— are becoming increasingly important.
These are the skills that will set us apart, enabling innovation in ways
technology can’t. To navigate these changes, we need collaboration across
sectors to better define, train, and assess these foundational skills within
the global workforce and education ecosystem. Join us for an engaging
conversation on how we can prepare the workforce for the future ahead with
Andreas SCHLEICHER (Director at OECD Education and Skills), Sue Duke (VP
Global Public Policy & Economic Graph at LinkedIn), and Aneesh Raman (Chief
   Economic Opportunity Officer at LinkedIn).

Young people who are neither in employment nor in education or training are
at risk of becoming socially excluded. Investing in more and better-quality
jobs, as well as guaranteeing labour rights and adequate pay is necessary to
foster better labour outcomes for young people. OECD’s Youth Policy Toolkit
provides practical guidance and inspiring policy examples of how to support
young people in their transition into the labour market. Learn how countries
are promoting better employment outcomes with the OECD Youth Policy Toolkit:

Nearly one in five adults are low performers in literacy, numeracy and
problem solving. In today’s fast-paced, information-rich world, having the
right skills is more important than ever. The latest OECD Survey of
#AdultSkills reveals: ➡️ Gender gaps are widening, and foreign-born adults
face lower proficiency, often due to language barriers. ➡️ ️There are
considerable differences in skill levels within and between nations. ➡️
Better numeracy skills are positively associated with greater life
satisfaction and higher wages. These skills are key to maintaining a strong
and productive workforce and helping adults to meaningfully participate in
democracy. See how your country performed: https://oe.cd/5QU | #PIAAC | OECD
