Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort and Spa in Bermuda partnered with Sojern on a
comprehensive, multichannel marketing strategy that grew their direct bookings
and regained share from OTAs.

USUALLY A QUIET PERIOD FOR US, BUT THIS YEAR, LEISURE BOOKINGS ARE DOUBLE WHAT

GOAL

One of Bermuda’s premier luxury resorts, Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort and
Spa wanted to gain exposure with digital marketing by decreasing their
dependency on OTAs and increasing their direct bookings.


SOLUTION

In late 2022, the Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort and Spa team partnered with
Sojern because of our reputation for driving direct bookings for hotels and our
close working relationship with their local tourism board. They use Sojern’s Pay
on the Stay offering, where Sojern runs advertising on the property’s behalf
across digital channels. Best of all, Newstead Belmont Hills only pays a
commission on completed stays. Across Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Facebook,
Instagram, programmatic display, and metasearch, Sojern ensures that Newstead
Belmont Hills’ name is prominent as potential guests search for their trip to
Bermuda. When it’s time to book, Sojern keeps their name top of mind to inspire
travelers to visit their website where they can book directly. Some hoteliers
try to ‘diversify’ by running their marketing channels with different partners.
However, they are likely paying multiple times for a single booking. One of the
biggest advantages to Sojern running all digital marketing channels, is that
Newstead Belmont Hills only ever pays once for a single booking—regardless of
how many times Sojern reached them, and on which channels.
