ELBIT SYSTEMS SUBSIDIARY GETS $70 MILLION UK CONTRACT

TEL AVIV (Reuters) - UAS Tactical Systems Ltd won a $70 million contract by
Thales UK to provide logistics support services for the Watchkeeper project over
the next three years, U-TacS' parent company Elbit Systems ESLT.O said on
Thursday.

Leicester-based U-TacS is 51 percent held by Israeli defense contractor Elbit
ESLT.TA with the balance owned by Thales UK, part of French aerospace group
Thales TCFP.PA.

The Watchkeeper, one of the largest unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) projects in
the world, is designed to provide the UK armed forces with intelligence,
surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance capabilities. The project’s
prime contractor is Thales UK.

U-TacS is in charge of development, integration, test flights and manufacture of
the UAS’ sub-systems, including the unmanned aircraft, the ground control
station and other systems.

In conjunction with its role on the Watchkeeper project, U-TacS also provides
the Hermes 450, under a program in which the UK armed forces operate Hermes 450
UAS to support its forces deployed in Afghanistan.
