Plus who doesn't love a baker who named his biz after a Tom Waits song? Order ahead online (go for the 4 pack: one of each weekly flavor) and set your pick up time for Fri-Sun. Head down to Alki or a nearby park (or eat them in your car--I won't judge) and enjoy! PS Keep an eye out for his return to regional farmers' markets too. — Tracey Wickersham, @twicksea * * Food & Drink, Coffee Anchorhead Coffee Anchorhead Coffee’s spicy chai is something that brings me through their doors again and again. Coupled with their “quaffle” (essentially a croissant married with a waffle iron served with fresh maple syrup), you simply can’t go wrong with one of the city’s quickest pick-me-up breakfasts! — Ann Peavey, @seattlemaven * * Food & Drink Anthony's Little Chinook's Fish Bar We’ve been coming here with the kids for fish and chips from Anthony’s Little Chinook’s Fish Bar forever. There is easy parking and it’s fun to walk the docks and look at all the boats while we wait for our food. This might also be a good place to start or end a bike ride if you want to get to Ballard Locks or the Lake Union Trail. — Terumi Pong, @helloterumi * * Shopping Baby & Co Pop Up Seattle's beloved Baby & Co. boutique closed its doors locally last summer due to the pandemic but they're back in town for a limited time only as part of the 10th Ave Collective Pop-Up happening now through June 6. Located on Capitol Hill in the old Totokaelo space, the 10th Ave Collective features apparel and accessories from Baby & Co., art from Robin Layton, and home goods from Susan Wheeler. — Sydney Mintle, @sydlovesfasion * * Park Bayview-Kinnear Park For the best view of the city, head to Bayview-Kinnear Park. Just below Kerry Park, you’ll find a trail that takes you down to Bayview-Kinnear Park where you’ll have an unobstructed view of the city, including the Space Needle and Puget Sound. Head here in the evening and you can catch a sunset that you’ll never forget. — Lakeisha Sharpe, by_lakeisha * * Food & Drink Beer Star This bright, modern brew hall in the White Center neighborhood features an indecision-inducing 48 beverages on tap—mostly beer from the greater NW, but also ciders, wine and a wild card or two. Lots of indoor & outdoor seating, kid- and dog- friendly, hundreds more bottles for sale in the chiller cases, plus snacks and onsite food offerings from Lil Woody's and Southside Pizza Pie. You're certain to find a new brew to try, if that's your thing. It's a choose your own adventure—fully hydrated. — Tracey Wickersham, @twicksea * * Park Bell Street Pier Rooftop Deck One of the best views of Seattle downtown, waterfront & beyond, located in the heart of the city. There are lots of benches and open space to sit down and enjoy the view. The rooftop deck is fully open to the public from 7am-10pm. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a take-out meal with a view. — Veronika Patrashko, wanderingbackpack * * Food & Drink Biang Biang Noodles When you’re craving noodles in Seattle, you’ll want to make sure Biang Biang Noodles is top of mind. Biang Biang is known for their Chinese hand-pulled noodles which you can order either “dry” or in broth—both options are delicious and filling. I recommend dining in at their hip Capitol Hill location where you can enjoy looking at the large-scale mural on the east wall as you slurp your noodles. Fun fact: Biang Biang, the type of noodles they use, gets its name from the sound the dough makes as it is stretched, pulled, and shaped by slapping it against a surface. — Brittany Carchano, @visitseattle * * Shopping Big Little News Earlier this year, Big Little News quietly opened up shop on Capitol Hill. Woman-owned and operated, this hidden gem is brimming with specialty magazines like British Vogue, Elle UK, Paris Vogue, and more. In addition, you'll also find indie magazines that cover a variety of interests and must-have items to accompany your reading material, like bottles of champagne and giant boxes of candy. — Sydney Mintle, @sydlovesfasion 12345678910Next Find Lodging in Seattle Pioneer Square COURTYARD SEATTLE DOWNTOWN/PIONEER SQUARE * Address 612 Second Ave, Seattle, WA 98104 * Phone (206) 625-1111 * Connect * * Downtown Seattle GRAND HYATT SEATTLE * Address 721 Pine St, Seattle, WA 98101 * Phone (206) 774-1234 * Connect * * * Downtown Seattle HOTEL SORRENTO * Address 900 Madison St, Seattle, WA 98104 * Phone (206) 622-6400 * Connect * * * South Lake Union EVEN HOTEL SEATTLE DOWNTOWN – LAKE UNION * Address 527 Fairview Avenue, Seattle, WA 98109 * Phone (206) 596-2302 * Connect * * FIND MORE GREAT LODGING OPTIONS (66) Follow @visitseattle #IKnowSeattle westinseattle rudd_edward hgi.ds simplyellstyle dutyfreesea seattleshortcake donwehunt jordanloves.life rudd_edward hgi.ds seattlemaven seattlemaven donwehunt westinseattle rudd_edward rudd_edward seattlemaven SUBSCRIBE TO THE SEATTLE LOCALIST SEATTLE’S BEST EVERY MONTH IN YOUR INBOX * Email* * Zip Code* * OPT-IN* * OPT-IN: By clicking the "Subscribe" button, I agree to receive emails from Visit Seattle and that I have read and agree to the Visit Seattle Privacy Policy. * Comments This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
