Learn the many ways our app can help all parents. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS WHAT IS ONLINE BANKING? It’s the act of conducting a wide range of financial transactions via the internet through your financial institution’s website. Rather than visiting a branch or ATM, online banking lets you manage your accounts through the internet. WHAT IS MOBILE BANKING? It’s the act of conducting a wide range of financial transactions through a mobile app. Mobile apps are software that is built by financial institutions and offered to their customers. They are accessed through internet-enabled mobile devices (smart phones and tablets). WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONLINE AND MOBILE BANKING? Both online and mobile banking allow bank customers to conduct a wide range of financial transactions without having to go to their bank or ATM. The major difference between the two is how the customer uses them. Online banking: A user can conduct transactions via a desktop, tablet or smart phone as long as they have an internet connection. Mobile banking: A user must download an app, which is software created by their financial institution. The app can only be accessed through a smart phone or tablet that is internet enabled. The U.S. Bank Mobile App offers all the features of online banking, plus additional ones. HOW DO I ENROLL IN MOBILE AND ONLINE BANKING? You’ll need to complete a short one-time enrollment process. For personal accounts: Gather your crystalfcu card or account number and PIN along with your Social Security number. If you don’t have a PIN or need a new one, please contact 24-Hour Banking at . For business accounts: You’ll need an ATM or debit card. You can apply for these at a branch. Use your PIN to log in to mobile or online banking. Next, create a unique username and password to log in securely in the future. Then, just follow the instructions on the enrollment page. HOW CURRENT IS MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION? Most account information is updated in real time as transactions are processed throughout the day. Mobile and online banking offers you the most current balance and transaction information available. CAN I TRANSFER MONEY TO AND FROM OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS? Yes. Your U.S. Bank checking, savings, money market and IBF Investments brokerage accounts are eligible to send and receive external transfers both through online banking and the mobile app. 5 Learn more about transferring money WHAT DO I DO IF I FORGET MY USERNAME, PASSWORD OR THE ANSWERS TO MY SECURITY QUESTIONS? Via the mobile app: Open the main menu and tap your name at the top of the list. This will bring you to the My profile screen, where you can change your username, password or security questions. Open the Account Alerts tab and choose Add alerts at the right side of the page. Then select the account alerts that will best help you manage your accounts.
