Alec Lenzini

Alec is responsible for engineering, pre-construction, project management, and
operations activities for CNC Foundations. Prior to his current role, Alec was
Pre-Construction Manager and Senior Engineer with CNC Foundations. He was
responsible for guiding the approach and preparation of CNC Foundations’
opportunities across the country, from preliminary design concepts to final
construction preparations with CNC Foundations’ team of professionals. Alec
worked closely with General Contractors, Developers, Engineers, and Architects
to develop the most cost and schedule-effective foundation solution for their
project

Prior to joining CNC Foundations, Alec worked for a national design-build
geotechnical contractor for over five years in various capacities including
Field Engineer, Project Engineer, and Project Manager. Project technologies
included micropiles, underpinning, earth shoring, rigid inclusions, earthquake
drains, aggregate piers, compaction grouting, jet grouting, wet soil mixing, dry
soil mixing, driven piling, and slurry walls.

Alec was born and raised in Southern Illinois. Outside of work, you can find him
spending time with his wife, Chelsea, daughter Peyton, and sons Brody and
Archie. In his spare time, Alec enjoys spending time outdoors deer hunting,
camping, hiking, and fishing.

Erik Prather

Erik joined CNC Foundations in 2023 with over 10 years of experience in
industrial equipment and construction supply sales.

Using his experience throughout Chicagoland and Wisconsin, Erik partners with
companies to provide unique solutions to ground improvement. Collaborating with
clients on a wide range of projects, he builds lasting relationships that extend
after the project ends.

Residing in Chicago, Erik enjoys being active outdoors all around the city
regardless of the season. Also, an avid traveler, he enjoys exploring new places
and experiencing new cultures.

Jason Sherrer

Jason comes to CNC Foundations from a successful thirteen-year career in
coaching college baseball. From his professional experiences Jason brings a
unique a skill set with him including team and personal goal achievement,
relationship building with clients, and organizational capabilities. Combining
Jason’s work ethic and skill set will assist him in his transition to the ground
improvement industry.

Jason resides in North Carolina with his wife, son, and daughter. They enjoy all
activities the outdoors has to offer with a passion for hunting, fishing, and
boating.”

Project Estimator

CNC Foundations, Inc is a family-owned and oriented company that has specialized
in deep foundation services since 1987. We are rapidly growing and looking to
add more to our team! Currently we are in need of a Project Estimator.
A Project Estimator will be responsible for the construction as well as
financial aspects of multiple projects. Responsibilities will include qualifying
projects for bid, estimating, budgeting, securing contracts and supervising
personnel on the project. This will include maintaining the highest quality of
product standards, supervising financial aspects of the project while
administering quality construction safety practices in order to successfully
compete projects on schedule and within budget.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Estimate projects from bid drawings, specs and contract documents. Read
blueprints to perform take offs from the drawings and work with company
estimating software to originate bid price.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
• Qualify projects for possible bid opportunities.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to
contractual agreements.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as needed.

John Armington

John started his career at CNC Foundations in 2006 in the role of Business
Development Manager for the Indiana/Ohio territory. During that time, John was
responsible for all Marketing and Sales, Estimating, and Project Management.

Prior to CNC Foundations, John worked outside the industry but quickly took to
the position and was promoted to Vice President of the Civil Construction
Division in 2012. Since taking over the position, John’s focus has been to build
a team of professionals that understand the value of the relationship that will
bring experience and value to CNC Foundations’ clients.

John is from Anderson, IN, and has been married to his wife, Julie, for over 25
years. John enjoys spending time with his family, duck hunting, golfing, and
sports in general.

Mike Haschemeyer

Mike has served as CNC Foundations’ Chief Engineer for over 10 years, overseeing
and managing the engineering department. His duties include overseeing the
preparation of design concepts for design-build projects as well as preparation,
review, and approval of engineering design submittals.

Prior to joining CNC Foundations, Mike worked for a national engineering firm in
various capacities including Branch Manager and Regional Engineer Mike’s duties
included overseeing foundation engineering services, slope stability analysis,
seismic studies, settlement monitoring, mass fill recommendation and
observation, testing and inspection of concrete, soils, reinforcing steel,
post-tensioning, foundations, and soil stabilization

Tom Layne

Tom Layne came to CNC Foundations in June 2020 from a career in professional
baseball. In 13 years, Tom covered both coasts and everywhere in between,
playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, New York
Yankees, LA Dodgers, and finally, the St. Louis Cardinals. Although CNC
Foundations is his first role in civil construction, his years as a professional
athlete bring many traits for success. His ability to persevere in competitive
environments, adapt to different people and cultures, and his self-motivation to
succeed are all valuable assets for his role at CNC Foundations.

Tom may not have specific professional experience within the industry, but he’s
been surrounded by it his entire life. His experience with the construction
industry comes from the work of his dad, brothers, and uncles. You can tell it’s
in his blood as he maneuvers job sites and conversations of the business with
fluidity.

Tom is an avid outdoorsman who spends most of the fall and winter in a deer
stand or a duck blind with his silver labrador, Charlie. His wife and two
daughters are glad to have him “home” and keep him busy with neighborhood bike
rides, barbecues on the back porch, and honey-do projects.

Bryan Hofius

Bryan Hofius joined CNC Foundations in 2022 after 20+ years of experience in
sales across various industries. Most recently, he has been in custom/technical
manufacturing sales, gaining knowledge and experience and learning to perfect
the micro details.

Bryan is an avid outdoorsman and spends most of his spare time with his family
outdoors as much as possible – fishing, hunting, golfing, or just enjoying time
together. He has been married to his wife, Laura for 10 years. Bryan also enjoys
coaching baseball, basketball, and football for their son, Mason (9), as well as
attending gymnastics for their daughter, Morgan (7).

Doug Deaton

Doug came to CNC Foundations with over 10 years of sales and marketing
experience. Doug’s focus on creating a great customer experience made it an easy
transition into the ground improvement industry.

With the experience of leading large sales teams and traveling throughout his
region his whole professional career, Doug has made everlasting work
relationships that bleed across all industries. Doug loves the challenge of
working through industry problems with his clients while making the customer
experience memorable.

Doug loves to spend his spare time playing golf with his friends and family.
Doug is a father to a young girl who has him wrapped around her finger. He loves
to spend vacation time traveling to somewhere new with his family.

Michelle Kelling

Michelle comes to CNC Foundations from a 20-plus-year career in event and
multimedia production. She’s deeply experienced in proactive management of
complex projects involving technologies, contractors, and multiple client
stakeholders within rigorous time and budgetary constraints.

Michelle’s clients have ranged from local non-profits to Fortune 500
organizations with a national footprint. No project is too large to be
intractable to her disciplined, communication-driven management; no project is
too small to deserve her constant, focused, meticulous oversight. Michelle
measures her own success by her clients’ satisfaction.

In her off-hours, with more active recreations on hold for the present, Michelle
enjoys hanging with her husband, her three children, and her rescue pup.

Shawn Lyons

Shawn came to CNC Foundations in 2020 after over 20 years in various sales and
leadership roles across multiple industries. Shawn has spent over 10 years in
both the transportation industry as well as technology. During these times he
has led teams as small as 5 people or as large as 75.

In Shawn’s spare time he loves to coach football, baseball, or basketball for
his sons Will and Sam. Shawn has been married for over 24 years to his wife
Christy and they enjoy traveling as a family.

Jason Courtney

Jason began his career at the very beginning of CNC Foundations in 1987. He
began working as a laborer for the company at the age of 15. Jason worked his
way up through multiple positions, including Foreman, Superintendent, and
Operations Manager. Over several years, Jason began the Civil Construction
Division from the ground up and became the company Vice President. Jason now
serves as the company President of CNC Foundations, succeeding his father who
started the companies.

Jason was born and raised in Southern Illinois. He is an avid outdoorsman and
enjoys spending time with his wife of over 20 years and two children.

He is a member of First Baptist Church and chairs multiple fundraising events
for small private schools and orphanages in different countries. Jason is a
continuous supporter of numerous other charities local and international
charities.

Ryan Cox

Prior to joining the CNC Foundations team, Ryan was a general contractor and
custom home builder for over 14 years. In addition, he also spent 5 years in the
mortgage industry as a senior renovation specialist. Ryan brings a wealth of
knowledge and understanding in helping people achieve their construction goals
and believes communication and honesty are the keys to building successful
relationships with his clients. Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife of 26
years and their two sons traveling, hiking, trout fishing, golfing, and watching
college sports.

Ryan Hunsaker

Ryan started his career at CNC Foundations in 2014 in the role of an
Estimator/Project Manager. During this time, Ryan would estimate a project and
then perform the duties of Project Manager on that job when CNC Foundations won
the project.

Ryan was then responsible for managing both the estimating department and
project management department when the original department was divided into two.
With the continued growth of the company, Ryan took on the role of Director of
the Project Managers and oversees all the project management of every project
that CNC Foundations builds. He also negotiates contracts for CNC Foundations as
well.

Operations Manager. Over several years, Jason began the Civil Construction
Division from the ground up and became the company Vice President. Jason now
serves as the company President of CNC Foundations, succeeding his father who
started the companies.

Jason was born and raised in Southern Illinois. He is an avid outdoorsman and
enjoys spending time with his wife of over 20 years and two children.

He is a member of First Baptist Church and chairs multiple fundraising events
for small private schools and orphanages in different countries. Jason is a
continuous supporter of numerous other charities local and international
charities.
