INTRODUCTION OF NID GUJRANWALA



National Institute for the Deaf, Gujranwala is playing a pivotal role in
educating and looking after the deaf children of the community. Presently, there
are more than 350 deaf children in the institute, the majority of whom are
either orphans or very poor. Aside from free educational facilities, they are
also helped with free clothing, shoes, medicines, materials for educational and
vocational training, and free transport facilities. The monthly expenditure of
the institute is more than $6,000, which is mostly managed through voluntary
contributions, some subsidy from the government, and a handsome regular amount
of contribution, made to the institute, out of the personal sources of the
founder of the project. Besides general education, practical training in various
handicrafts is also imparted to the children with the purpose of making them
productive and well-adjusted members of society. There are 25 qualified teachers
in the institute who are very proficient in their jobs and good at imparting
instructions with dexterous skills.




LEARNING BEGINS WITH NID

National Institute for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children, a non-profit,
tuition-free school located in Satelitte Town, Market District Gujranwala
Pakistan, provides a variety of academic and extracurricular programs to deaf
and hard-of-hearing children from Nursery to Graduation.

GAMES

Our students are passionate about sports and athletics and have the freedom to
choose the one they like and wish to take up.

PAINTING

We have several writers who are encouraged to come up with creations that are
regularly published in our in-house magazines.

PERFORMING ARTS & MUSIC

With professionals on board, we take pride in training our students in art forms
like dance, drama, painting and more.
