UZBEKISTAN – KYRGYZSTAN SUMMIT – AN INDICATOR OF NEW TRENDS IN THE CENTRAL ASIAN
REGION

The state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan
ended the day before. Undoubtedly, the significance of its results will go down
in the history of bilateral relations. Moreover, they mark a new stage in the
process of regional cooperation. I would even say that the significance of the
results of the visit goes beyond the region and may even play an important role
in stabilizing the entire system of international relations.

WATER AND ENERGY AGREEMENTS BETWEEN TASHKENT AND BISHKEK – NEW DRIVERS FOR
STRENGTHENING COOPERATION

Following the summit, the parties brought relations to the level of a
comprehensive strategic partnership. 25 documents were signed, including a
protocol on the exchange of instruments of ratification of an agreement on
certain sections of the Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan state border, the
Intergovernmental Program for Strategic Trade and Economic Partnership for
2023-2025, and others.
