UP FOR AN EXCITING CHALLENGE?


We are launching the second edition of the “010 Innovation Hackathon – 5G
Edition” hosted in Vodafone premises – Smart Village. 5G technology offers
super-fast gigabit internet speeds, and super-low latency which significantly
improves real-time digital applications.

Considering Vodafone’s strategic objective to enable a Digital Egypt, we’re
inviting participants to contribute to transforming Egypt into a digital society
by developing digital solutions that serve communities or businesses; powered by
the potential of 5G. Your idea could be related to education, health, energy,
transportation, environment, culture, citizen experience, etc.

But remember, it’s not just about your idea; it’s about demonstrating your
working prototype and convincing an audience of the benefit that your innovation
would achieve!

FIND YOUR TEAM

For best results, we encourage you to create a team of maximum 5 members, with
different skill sets, with at least one techie to develop the prototype. And to
have at least one team member who can freely pitch the team’s idea in English,
as the judging panel might include non-Arabic speakers. P.S. This is a Bring
Your Own Device event.


CHOOSE YOUR TECHNOLOGY

Ideally, your idea would be developed using one or combining some of the
following Technologies that we work with at Vodafone; such as, and not limited
to, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Big Data,
Mobile payments and IoT.


READY, SET, APPLY

One team member should be assigned as a Team Leader, who will fill out the form
on behalf of the team and will be the single point of contact (SPOC) moving
forward. The team needs to answer the question of how their idea will help Egypt
become Digital, while mentioning the Technology to be used.


STAY TUNED FOR YOUR INVITATION

Due to the limited space, the final teams will be chosen based on first-come,
first-served basis combined with the most innovative idea pitch and Technology
chosen. After you complete the application process, and following the end of the
event’s registration deadline, stay tuned to receive a confirmation email if you
have been selected to participate in the hackathon.

All eligible teams will gather for a 3-Day Hackathon, dedicated to completing
their prototypes and preparing their pitches. Day 4 will be the closing Ceremony
and Demo Day, in which the teams get to share their achievement before a judging
panel.
