Download Paper * APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR We are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Heiwai Tang as the Institute’s new director from May 1, 2022. Professor Tang is also Victor and William Fung Professor in Economics at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Prior to joining HKU, he was tenured Associate Professor of International Economics at the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University. He is also affiliated with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the Center of Economic Studies and Ifo Institute, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and the Globalization and Economic Policy Center as a research fellow. Find out more * THE ASIA-PACIFIC ECONOMIC COOPERATION (APEC) STUDY CENTER The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Study Center conducts multidisciplinary research on economic and business trends in the Asia-Pacific, in particular, topics related to the APEC forum.
