 * Anti-marijuana tyrants must be stopped.
 * What about personal freedom?
 * What’s the difference between growing beer and growing pot?


YOU'RE WRONG AND I AM DISGUSTED

As an independent voter that normally leans to the right, I am completely
disgusted by the actions of Ohio Republicans this last year.

Their special election in August, their attempt to take power away from the
people, and the more recent blatant disregard for the will of the Ohio voters.

Stealing the election?Sneaky Ohio Republican senators disrespect voters with
rushed marijuana amendment

Hearing them say things like we just didn't understand what we voted for
infuriates me.



It will be a long time before an Ohio Republican gets my vote again. The nearly
57% that approved issues 1 and 2 will be out again next November to teach these
tyrants a lesson.

You do not ignore the will of the people and you do not belittle or degrade our
intelligence. This is the beginning of the end of the Republicans stranglehold
on Ohio. We will be heard in November.

WHAT ABOUT PERSONAL FREEDOM AND SELF-RELIANCE

In the aftermath of Ohio's Issue 2 passing, a significant disconnect has emerged
between the will of the electorate and the actions of some lawmakers.



Despite the clear mandate from voters, there are efforts to override key
components of Issue 2, notably the provision allowing for home cultivation
of marijuana.

The justification often cited for these actions revolves around health and
safety concerns, yet the same authorities seem eager to implement and benefit
from the taxation of marijuana.



This contradiction raises questions about the true motivations behind these
amendments.

It's important to recognize that the move to restrict individuals to purchasing
only from government-sanctioned dispensaries undermines the essence of a
democratic decision. Moreover, this approach appears to contradict principles of
personal freedom and self-reliance, which are foundational to our societal
values.



Concerns about the quality and health implications of
dispensary-sourced marijuana compared to home-grown variants are not unfounded.

Generally, home growers have greater control over their cultivation environment,
allowing them to avoid the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals often found
in commercially grown products. This control extends to the choice of
fertilizers and growth mediums, enabling a more organic growth process.



Additionally, home cultivation allows for a more personalized approach to strain
selection, tailored to individual medical needs or preferences. In contrast,
commercially available marijuana might not always meet these stringent personal
standards, potentially containing additives or being subject to mass production
practices that prioritize yield over health considerations.

This disparity in quality and the potential health impact underscores the
importance of preserving the right to home cultivation as endorsed by voters in
the passing of Issue 2.
