NABU AND EBRD STEP UP COOPERATION

The National Bureau and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
(EBRD) will deepen their cooperation to enhance the effectiveness of
investigations into high-level corruption. This was agreed at a meeting on June
24, 2024 between Jelena Madir, Chief Compliance Officer of EBRD, and Semen
Kryvonos, NABU's Director.

NABU, SAPO UNCOVER UAH 16 MILLION COMPUTER EQUIPMENT PROCUREMENT SCHEME: THREE
SUSPECTS

NABU and SAPO have exposed a scheme involving the misappropriation of state
funds via the procurement of computer equipment at inflated prices. The charges
have been brought against the ex-head of a state institution of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs, the owner and director of a private enterprise. Their actions
fall under Part 5 Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

offered USD 200,000 in undue advantage.

RIVNE REGIONAL COUNCIL DEPUTY HEAD CAUGHT ON BRIBE (PHOTOS)

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized
Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, together with the Security Service of
Ukraine in the Rivne region, exposed the deputy head of the Rivne Regional
Council receiving an unlawful benefit from a private entrepreneur for
"assistance" with land and property issues.
