ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300 SSD SLOT

Screenįor the screen, Acer offers a couple of different panel choices for the
2021 Predator Helios 300 lineup, all 15.6-inches in size, matte and non-touch.
It’s a bit rougher and clunkier with taps, but still works alright with everyday
use and gestures.Īs for biometrics, there aren’t any on this 2021 Acer Predator
Helios 300. There’s still no ability to reactivate the keyboard’s lighting with
a swipe over the clickpad, though, you’ll have to hit a key for it (or you can
disable the Time Off in the settings).Īcer still puts a mid-sized plastic
clickpad on this series for mouse, and not glass as on the Trion lineups. As far
as I remember, the illumination seems brighter and more uniform than on past-gen
Helios 300s, and Acer also finally included a CapsLock physical LED. I should
also add a backlit RGB keyboard, with 4 different zones controllable through the
dedicated tab in Predator Sense. Up to you if this is your ideal type of format,
it can be a differentiating factor between the options in this segment, with
some models offering a centered keyboard without a NumPad. The layout is
full-size, with a main deck of 15 x 15 mm keys and a narrower NumPad section at
the right. The softly coated keys feel very comfortable to the touch, the clicks
are quiet, and Acer implemented 26-key rollover that you should find helpful in
games. Still, even with this unforgiving feedback, I feel that this should be a
fine keyboard for the average user. Inputs haven’t changed in the last two
generations of the Helios 300, and they’re still OK, but once more not as
competitive with what you’ll find with the competition as they were in 2019.įor
me, this is a fine and very fast typer, yet not necessarily one of my favorites,
with soft and very quick actuations, which take time to get used to.

Design and exteriorįor the most part, the 2021 Helios 300 is built on the same
chassis as the 2020 version that we tested last year, so I’ll refer you to that
article for my take on how this looks and feels. And here are our thoughts on
the updated 2023 Acer Predator Helios 16 PH16-71 and Helios 18 PH18-71 lineups.
Update: In interested, here’s our detailed review of the 2022 Predator Helios

Paired with Acer’s excellent pricing ( follow this link for updated pricing
info), this is still going to be a solid option for many of you. So while on the
outside, this might seem the same old device, the mid-2021 model does show a
significant improvement in performance over the 2020 and the early-2021
generations. They did bump the hardware to 8Core 11th gen Intel processors and
RTX 3000 graphics, resulting in faster memory, storage, and an IO update. Acer
haven’t changed much on the Helios 300 series for a few years now, and it’s
starting to show its age and lack some of the practicality, design elements, or
features that are now available with the alternatives offered by other brands.

TRANSFORMICE WALLJUMP

Walljumping can be difficult when not timed correctly there are a variety of
reasons why walljumping may fail: It's the same thing with the trampoline, you
run at the trampoline, get launched back, jump, run at it again, get launched
back, etc. Then you start jumping up it the same way you would chocolate ground.
So for lava-jumping there, you have to get as close as you can to the lava wall,
close enough until you can run against it and it doesn't blast you away.
However, this method will not work in bootcamp rounds. You must do this before
you land, as when you do you will spring back up, but not so high that your
mouse will die. For lava-jumping, jump onto the horizontal surface of the lava,
and as you fall, quickly hold down on the ↑ up key and at the same time, the key
in the direction you want to go in. The ground must have a friction of 3 or
higher in order to be jumped. It is also possible to only press the → or ← when
starting to fall down, so maximum jump height is achieved before gripping the
wall. While you run into a wall map of chocolate, hold down → or ←, and
repeatedly press ↑. However, for those who don't know how to / are unable to
wall jump, there's a modified wall jump, that only works on chocolate and other
grounds with high friction, although it is not very efficient. It's important
not to jump too far away from the wall.Ĭhocolate ground can be (and should be if
you know how) wall jumped like normal ground. Otherwise, the mouse will slide
down and not receive its jump back. It's extremely important that your mouse be
falling when coming into contact with the wall. Holding the arrow key while near
the top of a longer wall will show the running animation. Your mouse should
extend his or her forelegs as if about to run. Mice use the jump immediately and
make repeated half circles along the wall. Wall jumping is done by exploiting a
glitch that gives mice their ability to jump back when they fall into a
frictional wall. Accurate pacing is vital slow and steady wins the race. A
failed jump will cause you to slide down, from where it may be difficult to
recover. The most important thing to wall jumping is to be falling when you make
contact with the wall. You are making, in a way, a half-circle along its side.

Run at the wall then very quickly jump (does not work if board, box, etc. Your
mouse needs to have downward velocity when hitting the wall or else you will not
be able to get the ability to jump. Please note that when you hit the wall, you
should not be holding down ↑.Īnd repeat with a good rhythm.
