3A%20The%20Academy%20does%20not%20sufficiently%20include%20Jewish%20perspectives%20in%20its%20curriculum%20and%20cultural%20activities.%0A%0AA%20DEI%20Framework%20that%20is%20Fundamentally%20Hostile%20to%20Jews%3A%20The%20Academy%E2%80%99s%20DEI%20framework%20fosters%20identitarian%20partisanship%2C%20resulting%20in%20hostility%20towards%20Jews%20(who%20can%20be%20of%20many%20races)%20and%20%22non-BIPOC%22%20students.%0A%0AWe%20are%20utterly%20dismayed%20by%20these%20events%20and%20fear%20they%20may%20be%20the%20tip%20of%20the%20iceberg.%20Head%20of%20School%20Bill%20Rawson%20has%20allowed%20these%20events%20to%20happen%20under%20his%20leadership%20without%20taking%20any%20significant%20action%20against%20them%20and%20has%20refused%20to%20condemn%20Hamas%20and%20those%20at%20the%20Academy%20supporting%20Hamas%E2%80%99%20actions%20against%20Israel.%20We%20are%20appalled%20at%20how%20far%20the%20Academy%2C%20by%20embracing%20administrative%20policies%20that%20normalize%20radicalism%2C%20has%20drifted%20from%20Exeter%E2%80%99s%20Values.%20Exeter%20graduates%20are%20taking%20this%20ideology%20into%20the%20wider%20world%2C%20contributing%20to%20the%20antisemitic%20events%20we%20see%20across%20elite%20university%20campuses.%20The%20lack%20of%20proper%20education%20about%20Judaism%20and%20the%20Middle%20East%20at%20the%20Academy%2C%20coupled%20with%20its%20refusal%20to%20condemn%20antisemitism%20and%20mass-murder%2C%20indicates%20that%20the%20Board%20of%20Trustees%20is%20complicit%20and%20lacks%20leadership%20in%20addressing%20hatred%20and%20discrimination.%20%20If%20the%20Board%20and%20Administrators%20could%20at%20least%20establish%20a%20rule%20that%20calling%20for%20mass-murder%20of%20anyone%20is%20not%20tolerated%2C%20it%20would%20mark%20a%20dramatic%20improvement%20from%20the%20current%20state.%20As%20it%20stands%2C%20the%20Board%20has%20allowed%20such%20egregious%20behavior%20to%20go%20unchecked%20and%20without%20apparent%20consequences.%0A%0ATo%20realign%20the%20school%20with%20its%20founding%20principles%2C%20we%20recommend%20the%20following%20actions%3A%0A%0AAdopt%20the%20U.S.%20State%20Department%E2%80%99s%20Definition%20of%20Antisemitism%3A%20The%20school%20has%20been%20asked%20to%20do%20this%20for%20months%20but%20has%20refused.%0A%0AInitiate%20a%20Transparent%2C%20Independent%20Review%20of%20the%20Exeter%20Codes%3A%20Implement%20pertinent%20recommendations%20from%20this%20review.%20The%20school%20has%20been%20asked%20to%20do%20this%20for%20months%20but%20has%20refused.%0A%0AMandate%20Antisemitism%20Training%3A%20Educate%20students%2C%20faculty%2C%20and%20staff%20on%20recognizing%20bullying%2C%20harassment%2C%20bigotry%2C%20bias%2C%20and%20anti-Semitism%20in%20its%20various%20forms%2C%20consistent%20with%20the%20State%20Department%E2%80%99s%20definition%20and%20updated%20Exeter%20Codes.%20The%20school%20has%20been%20asked%20to%20do%20this%20but%20has%20refused.%0A%0AUniformly%20Enforce%20the%20Exeter%20Codes%3A%20Apply%20the%20codes%20at%20all%20times%2C%20regardless%20of%20who%20the%20target%20of%20the%20violation%20is%20and%20who%20committed%20the%20violation.%20%20Obviously%2C%20the%20school%20has%20not%20done%20this%20since%20it%20has%20failed%20to%20expel%20students%20embracing%20antisemitism%20and%20mass-murder%20and%20retains%20teachers%20who%20embrace%20antisemitism%20and%20mass-murder%20like%20Madhi%20and%20Carbonell.%20%0A%0AReview%20Curriculum%2C%20Hiring%2C%20and%20Administrative%20Practices%3A%20Undertake%20transparent%2C%20independent%20reviews%20of%20the%20Academy%E2%80%99s%20curriculum%2C%20faculty%20hiring%2C%20and%20administrative%20objectives%2C%20including%20those%20outlined%20in%20the%20Diversity%2C%20Equity%2C%20and%20Inclusion%20Task%20Force%20Charter%2C%20which%20has%20failed%20miserably%20in%20defending%20Jewish%20students%20and%20condemning%20antisemitism%20and%20calls%20for%20the%20mass-murder%20of%20Jews.%0A%0AWe%20look%20forward%20to%20hearing%20what%20the%20Board%20of%20Trustees%20will%20do%20to%20rectify%20this%20situation%20since%20they%20apparently%20have%20done%20nothing%20to%20date.%20If%20Exeter%20continues%20to%20ignore%20these%20pressing%20issues%2C%20especially%20concerning%20its%20antisemitic%20and%20extremist%20teachers%20and%20students%2C%20it%20will%20suffer%20reputational%20harm%20similar%20to%20Harvard%20and%20Columbia%20Universities%20and%20lose%20out%20on%20a%20whole%20generation%20of%20students%20and%20teachers%20who%20will%20see%20the%20school%20as%20an%20organization%20that%20gives%20safe%20harbor%20to%20Jew%20hatred%20and%20genocidal%20agitators.%0A%0ASigned%2C%0A
