The issue of unmet expectations during retirement may not be easy to handle but
can still be addressed proactively. Begin with re-evaluating your retirement
objectives as well as financial position at present.

In case you realize that it is still not enough then take some measures on how
best you can cut across some cost; like maybe changing few things in life so
everything becomes less expensive etc.

Retirees have unexpected realities because they fail to prepare for them you
cannot be living paycheck to paycheck before retirement and think all of a
sudden you are going to get rich after retirement, anyone enjoying a retirement
today paid for it and planned for it unless they're work trust fund kid.

So if you don't want to have retirement problems in terms of finances you will
have to get ready for it and plan for it from day one, there are different
routes you can take for example you can start a business or you try and get
another job or invest in whole life  insurance.
