The Kalabash Consulting Mastermind is part of the commitment of Kalabash to
build the capacity of Black, Indigenous and racialized professionals working as
consultants across Canada.

In this session, we will be led by Ryan Knight, Executive Director of the Afro
Caribbean Business Network, in a conversation about Conscious Collaboration in
the Black Community. We invite consultants actively consulting with
organizations in the Black community, or looking to get more involved with
organizations to join the conversation!

ACBN Grant Writing Info Session 



Join our upcoming Grant Info Sessions each Wednesday until the end of the year.
We will be discussing the grants such as the Investment Readiness Program
$100,000 grant and others that are available for your company.


The info sessions provide the knowledge and understanding of how to write grants
by helping you develop your grant blueprint. We will show you what is available
and how to access grants to support your business.


Also, if you know someone that could use a grant for your business please share
this information with them.

ACBN Growth Business Accelerator F22 Programming 





Program Overview  

 

ACBN and other collaborators have come together to bring you the Growth Business
Accelerator which is an experiential learning opportunity that will empower you
to make your business investment and procurement ready! 

 

Working through the business plan development, and sales training our startup
program will provide you with a strong foundation to build, grow and scale your
business. Small cohort sizes create maximum opportunities for one-on-one support
and collaboration. 

 

Dates: October 20, 2022 to April 6, 2023




Orientation: October 20, 2022 - Time: 6:00 - 8pm

If you need professional support around your business or business ideas, we
invite you to join our weekly Drop In sessions on Thursdays from 5:00pm to
6:00pm.  We provide entrepreneurs with a space to discuss critical factors
affecting business productivity, and bootcamps to help you find funding for your
businesses through access to grants, loans and other resources. This space
provides the opportunity to let us know what your needs are and how we can serve
you better.

        ACBN Legacy Symposium Pre-event Workshops (In-Person)



Join us at our upcoming free workshops where subject matter experts will share
useful and effective business insights on how to grow and sustain your
businesses. You will have the opportunity to learn and engage in discussions on
four core business pillars inclusive of financials, people, planning, and
customer.


You can’t afford to miss this business growth opportunity, which starts at
6:00pm to 8:00pm on the second Wednesday of each month from October 2022 to
January 2023, leading into our flagstone annual Legacy Symposium in February
2023.

conducting focus groups to assess the needs of Black entrepreneurs. If you are

Alterna Savings Sales Training



Join Alterna Savings and professional sales trainer Jacqueline Dixon for a free
webinar series focusing on generating and capitalizing on sales leads. The skill
sets gained through this program are based on proven best practices.

Throughout this series, you will learn the fundamentals needed to develop a
sales process, generate qualified leads, and the skills you can leverage to
ensure a successful closing ratio on new prospects. We will focus on script
writing and presentation techniques to help you build the sales and marketing
skills hundreds of entrepreneurs have used to STOP losing and START closing
deals. 

Sessions will be interactive with takeaway material.

 EDGE Sheridan is hosting an in-person workshop for start-ups and small
businesses on September 28th from 1-3 pm. Join Lynn Fergusson for this workshop
who will introduce you to the concept, application, and benefits of developing a
Theory of Change for your social business and venture.

 

Through this session, you will:

 * Familiarise yourself with the Theory of Change concept and framework;

 * Learn the fundamentals of Theory of Change for planning, team building,
   capacity building, securing buy-in, funding proposals, managing an
   initiative, ongoing monitoring, and evaluation; and,

 * Leave with new insight, tools, and materials for your venture.
