operated by “Skipper” Scotty and Pilita “the Whipper” Wild, helped by their son
“Lake-boy” Locky and the unproductive but “Adorable Secretary” Frizzy. The
vision is to create a unique and unforgettable memory for every customer “the
local Kraken way”, whilst doing something every day to keep our local waterways
clean and sustainable for the future. Scott and Pilita live in Blacksmiths Beach
and are passionate about the area because of its down-to-earth and friendly
locals and all that the area itself offers ~ from its untainted waters to its
many sand islands, parks, venues, riding tracks, and quaint towns that feature
all along the pristine Lake Macquarie. Scotty and Pilita want to give you a

WHAT OTHERS SAY

As locals to Blacksmiths, this was our first local Boat Charter we decided to
give a Krak! My wife and I had such a fun but relaxing time on our a Public
Group Charter, and really enjoyed the day together having many laughs and great
conversations with the other passengers both onboard and off at some of the many
destinations we were taken. Skipper Scotty made our experience personal and fun,
yet relaxing. Our whole experience reminded us of how much we love our own
spectacular Lake Macquarie and how great it is to meet others who also enjoy our
lake as much as we do.

My girlfriends and I booked the Private Group Charter and had our very own
'Ladies on the Lake Day', which transformed our normally land-based monthly
gatho to a must-do regular event for our group of ladies. We hadn't relaxed and
laughed so much in such a long time, listening to our favourite 80's tunes and
even taught Skipper Scotty a few tunes....."Woah, we're half way there... Woah,
livin' on a prayer...."  Highly recommend the Group Private Tour turned into a
"Ladies on the Lake Day" of your own!

I couldn't bring my own boat because we towed the caravan up here on holidays to
stay at Swansea Caravan Park, which was fantastic but I really wanted to be on
the water too.  So I treated my wife and two kids (or maybe I treated myself)
and hired the KRAKEN SQUIDLICKER.  It was a brilliant idea as my wife and I took
in the scenery of the beautiful lake, relaxed, and I even did a spot of fishing
while the kids played at the recommended spots given to us by Kraken Boat Hire.

Funny enough, our favourite spot was a tiny Island just off Elizabeth Island,
which was visible from where we were staying but not accessible to us without a
boat. The kids are still talking about it and I haven't stopped hearing the baby
shark song for weeks, which my wife and I cranked on the onboard stereo.  Thanks
Kraken Boat Hire, the KRAKEN SQUIDLICKER was perfect and allowed our family to
have a Kraken Day!
