VICTIMS, SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE REMEMBERED, HONORED DURING CANDLELIGHT VIGIL, AWARENESS PROGRAM Faith Huffman Saturday, October 12, 2024 Body Shelter Agencies of East Texas (SAFE-T) hosted a Domestic Violence Candle Light Vigil and Awareness program Thursday night, to honor those ndividuals across the state who have lost their lives to domestic violence, to offer hope to those experiencing it, support for survivors and awareness that domestic violence does indeed occur in Hopkins County. Going home with the first place trophy was the cook team of Rachel Bobo and Nancy Phelan. People walk laps around Celebration Plaza during Tuesday’s A Walk to Remember fundraiser, benefitting Terrific Tuesdays respite program for caregivers of people with people experiencing early to moderate memory loss.
