Our volunteers will be clothing volunteers, who sort and organize donations in either the 2nd floor Clothing Room or Basement. Clothing volunteers may also support staff in our Clothing Department by interacting with guests who are requesting clothing, jackets, shoes, etc. Our Clothing Department loves volunteers who know how to balance taking initiative and closely following directions. Panelists will discuss the significant decisions of the Court in the 2022 Term including Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County, Indiana v. Talevski holding that the Federal Nursing Home Amendments Act of 1987 create privately enforceable rights under Section 1983, and they will preview cases the Court is hearing in the 2024 Term. In addition, panelists will highlight cases in the lower courts that are likely to reach the Supreme Court in the future on matters such as abortion, firearms regulation and gender-affirming health care.
