WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Everyone! There are no restrictions on participants.

Whether you are an individual or represent a multinational, we welcome your
contributions as long as your project is aligned to the 2 main conditions above.
You do need to have the capability to execute. Raising money is only part of the
job. Therefore in the proposal, we expect you to give some information on your
team. If you are an individual AI developer aiming to get your service onboarded
you may be perfectly able to do that all by yourself.

For larger projects, this will often mean that you need a team with a diversity
of roles. We expect all projects to have the required skills or a plan and
budget allocation to secure this. Of course, you can also use the interaction
with our community to ask for support in some areas!

of the submitted projects will be awarded.

Community involvement also means getting constructive feedback on your proposal.

Our project aims to make programming more accessible for non-English speakers,
focusing on Chinese and Arabic. As the global population nears 8 billion, many
aren’t proficient in English, creating a barrier in programming. Our platform
will extract code from legal GitHub sources, then parse and explain key
functions and features of English code in languages such as Chinese or Arabic.
This approach helps users understand and use English-based programming into
other languages, and collect the up to date codes while, ensuring compiler
compatibility. Our goal is to foster inclusivity in programming by providing
native language explanations, aiding comprehension and usage.

I’M NOT AN AI DEVELOPER, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?

Yes you can!

We hope to see many proposals for new AI services on our platform. But in the
end, having projects that utilize these services is just as important. So if you
are an app developer or creating a frontend solution that utilizes an AI service
on our platform you can get funded too. 

Other options to apply for funding are:

 * Promotional initiatives that help grow our platform
 * By creating tooling or code that will help the platform itself to become
   better OR, that will enhance the DEEP funding process 

 


HOW MUCH FUNDING CAN I APPLY FOR?

Available funding amounts may change per round and per pool. Please read the
rules section for a detailed overview. 

We will ask all teams to add a credible cost breakdown to their proposal. In the
end, you need to convince the community that your project is more worthy of
getting funded for the desired amount than your competitors. Having a good
cost-to-value ratio is an important factor in the evaluations.


WHEN IS THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE?

There is no fixed date yet. 

We expect the Deep Funding portal to open in the second half of March for
proposals in Round 1.
After that, teams will have 5 weeks to submit their proposal and have it
reviewed by the community and enhance it if desired. We recommend submitting
your proposal in the first 2 weeks so you can fully benefit from community
feedback and get maximum exposure. You can perfectly start out with your basic
proposal and add enrichments and tweaks during the review period. If you provide
us with a short video update we will share that on our social media channels. 

During the 6th week, we will review all proposals for eligibility (see Rules and
guidelines) and add them to our voting portal. 
After the sixth week, the voting period will start.
