Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

CHARLIE GIANCARLO

Charlie Giancarlo is Chairman and CEO of Pure Storage. He has a three-decade
track record of driving growth and innovation at leading global technology
companies.


Before joining Pure, Charlie served as Senior Advisor at Silver Lake Partners
until 2015, and previously, Managing Director and Head of Value Creation. In
these capacities, he focused on investment opportunities and business
improvements across Silver Lake’s portfolio companies. Among other activities,
he was a leader in Silver Lake’s acquisition and management of Skype.

Prior to Silver Lake, Charlie served in expanding senior executive roles at
Cisco Systems, including Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer.
During his 14 years at Cisco, Charlie was a leader of Cisco’s multi-product,
multi-market growth, driving entry into new markets, including Ethernet
switching, WiFi, IP Telephony, and TelePresence.

He currently serves on the boards of Arista Networks and Zscaler, is a Trustee
of Brown University, and an advisor to the UC Berkeley School of Engineering. He
is a former board member of Accenture, Avaya, Imperva, Netflix, and ServiceNow.

Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Brown University, a
Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of California,
Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Founder and Chief Visionary Officer

JOHN 'COZ' COLGROVE

John Colgrove, or Coz, is Founder and Chief Visionary Officer at Pure Storage,
responsible for developing and executing Pure Storage’s global technical
strategy.

Coz co-founded Pure Storage in 2009. Prior to this, he was the Entrepreneur in
Residence at Sutter Hill Ventures. It was there he observed the growing
acceptance of solid-state storage by enterprises.

Coz was one of the founding engineers at Veritas Software, which merged with
Symantec in 2005, where his 20-year career culminated as Fellow and Chief
Technology Officer for the Data Center Management Group.

He was the primary architect for the hugely successful Veritas Volume Manager
(VxVM) and Veritas File System (VxFS) and later served in various other
engineering, management, and consultative roles.

Prior to Veritas, Coz worked for Amdahl Corporation where he was a key
contributor to the development of the UTS mainframe UNIX operating system
kernel.

He holds over 170 patents in the areas of computer system and reliable data
storage design. Coz has a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.

Chief Product Officer

AJAY SINGH

Ajay Singh brings more than 25 years of experience in the software and services
industry to Pure Storage. In his previous role, he served as Senior Vice
President and General Manager for VMware’s Cloud Management business unit.

Prior to VMware, Ajay was Senior Vice President and General Manager of
Hewlett-Packard’s IT Operations Management software business. He also served as
Chief Executive Officer of Elastic Intelligence, an infrastructure
platform-as-a-service company that was acquired by Intuit.

Ajay founded and then sold ProactiveNet to BMC. During his tenure at BMC, he
held multiple executive roles and ran the service assurance, application, and
DevOps business units.

Ajay holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a
Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He
earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute
of Technology in Kanpur, India.

Group Product Marketing Manager, Cloud Native Business Unit, Portworx by Pure
Storage

SURBHHI PAUL

Surbhi is a driven technologist with 15+ years of experience in business and
technology roles. She has been involved in engineering, product management,
product marketing roles at large global companies such as Cisco, Dell/EMC,
VMware with multi-billion dollar revenues and multi-stage startups such as
Arista, DSSD, RedSeal scaling from pre-revenue to $1B+, across products in
networking, storage, cyber security, and cloud industry.

Currently, as a product marketer, she is leading the GTM of the flagship
product, Portworx Enterprise, at Portworx (Pure Storage) and the
internal/external comms. She is also an educator by passion - served as a
lecturer in an engineering college in India and as a teacher at The Harker
School. Surbhi has earned her Bachelor degree in Computer Sc. Engineering from
India and Masters in Computer Sc. and Engineering from San Jose State
University.

RENÉ LOPEZ

René López is an energetic and passionate IT executive who serves as Managing
Director of Infrastructure and Hosting Operations at Delta Air Lines. René has
over 20 years of experience designing, managing and supporting complex global
Fortune 500 infrastructures. He is responsible for defining Delta’s s long-term
Infrastructure technology strategy and vision.

Chief Marketing Officer, Pure Storage

JASON ROSE

Jason joined Pure Storage in 2020 as Chief Marketing Officer. He oversees all
aspects of Marketing globally, including Pure’s brand, communications,
solutions, and demand-generation efforts. 

Before joining Pure, Jason was a member of SAP's Marketing Leadership team and
held positions including CMO for Customer Experience and SVP of Digital
Experience and Social Channels.  

Prior to SAP, Jason was the CMO at Gigya, the leader in customer-identity
management. During his tenure, he helped Gigya create the Customer Identity
Management category and place Gigya in the #1 position. His team led the
development of a new brand narrative and sales momentum that led to the
company’s acquisition by SAP in 2017. He has experience in marketing technology
platforms and applications for both start-ups and large enterprises.

Jason loves spending time in Lake Tahoe paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming,
mountain biking, and skiing with his three boys, three dogs, and lovely wife
Yelena. Jason holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Wilfrid
Laurier University and is a Certified Professional Accountant.
