Today’s post is kind of just for fun because I can’t really resists a good pun.
I’m not so sure if any of these cross any lines or not. So, I offer my
preemptive apologies.

Each of these can either be monetized with a membership, on-site advertising, or
affiliate relationships.


1. COUPONS FOR CHRIST

Online coupons offered by local churches to support local Christian-owned
businesses, with a built-in structure for a portion of the proceeds to fund
helping the poor, sick, and hungry.


TAGLINE:

> Jesus Saves!

The tagline can work as both a literal statement of belief and embodiment of
purpose, but also as a pun! The determining factors is how well the business
stands on its values.

I have to confess that I was driving and saw a sign attached to a tree that said
“Jesus Saves” and I immediately thought it could work for this project.


2. THE OTHER LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS

An online couponing community, website, and app that collects, categorizes, and
makes available all coupons across the city of Los Angeles. It could bring
together different types of businesses and allow residents to support businesses
that align with their identity and/or values.


TAGLINE:

> Always looking for ways to save every season

The name is a clever pun and the tagline is a subtle shot at the NBA team, The
Los Angeles Clippers, who can’t seem to cash in on all that talent.


3. HEROIC COUPONS DAILY

A daily coupon site with deals that start and expire that same day. Businesses
can post coupons with a deal that expires at the end of the day. They can choose
the terms of the deal, and the number of coupons available.

It would be good for driving same-day foot traffic.


TAGLINE

> Save the day!

Another way to use “Save”in a contextual way that matches the business
positioning.


THE COUPON BANK

A couponing site turns your coupon savings into real money. As you save coupons
to your account and use them, the site tracks how much money you’ve saved. Then,
using an attached debit card, you can automatically transfer the amount you
saved into a savings or investment account.


TAGLINE:

> The world’s most unique savings account

This one felt too obvious to not have been done before. Maybe it has been, maybe
it hasn’t. I dunno.

> That’s all. Have fun!



This publication exists because I keep coming up with ideas for businesses and
