WEALTH FOR WOMEN

Financial Help for Women going through Divorce

;

If you’re a woman going through divorce you may be feeling fearful, anxious and
overwhelmed.

For many of the women I work with, their husband has dealt with the family
finances during the marriage. As a result, they are now lacking confidence about
their financial future.

If this is you, be comforted by the fact that this is typical for many women in
your situation.

It can be hard to make sensible decisions about your financial future, when you
are going through such immense emotional upheaval.

In fact, it’s tempting to bury your head in the sand. But it’s so important to
get to grips with your finances at this stage. It can mean the difference
between being very comfortable, where you can sleep at night. Or running out of
money far, far too soon. The choice is that stark.

What’s needed is a guiding hand and a reassuring voice

This is what we do best:

 *   working with you through the divorce process

 * supporting you on your journey

 *  explaining the finances so that financial confusion can change to confidence

 *  helping you take control of your future

We can be with you as early in the process as you’d like. Maybe even before you
meet with a lawyer. We will be there all the way through to helping you to
manage your household finances after the divorce.

MEET MARY

I’m Mary Waring, the founder of Wealth for Women and I specialise in financial
advice to women going through divorce.

I can get involved as early as you want and remain involved for as long as you
may need.

The earlier you take advice, the more you have to gain. I’m a chartered
accountant, and I’m also a chartered financial planner. I am one of only a
handful of advisers in the whole of the UK with these qualifications.

I have made a decision to put myself in a very different position to my mother.
I am passionate about changing the way women think about finance. Too many women
stick their head in the sand and ignore it. Or…rely on a man to sort it for
them.

Hence my catchphrase “A Man is not a Financial Plan”.

I’m on a mission to help women feel more comfortable and confident about their
finances, so that they are better equipped to make informed decisions about
their future. As I’ve said before, money won’t make you happy.

But it may give you choices, so that you can choose the path which is right for
you. And just in case you’re wondering… I do want to emphasise, I’m not a man
hating harridan. I am in fact married to Tony and have been for 20 years.

I don’t hold particularly ardent feminist views. But I do believe that all women
whether married, single or divorced need to take financial responsibility.

Let’s face it, we’re the ones who will benefit most from looking after our
finances so if we don’t do it, it’s unlikely anyone else will do it for us.

OUR PROCESS

1. Getting to know you – To create a financial plan that is right for you, I
need to truly understand you and what you really want to happen in your life, At
our initial meeting we will discuss what is important to you and what would make
you happy.

2. Information Gathering – We look at your current financial situation and what
your options are.

3. Your Financial Plan – Your financial plan will look at which outcome is most
appropriate for you and your circumstances. The plan is presented in plain
English without jargon.

4. Discussion Meeting – We meet to discuss the plan with you and your lawyer, to
ensure you fully understand all your options and feel confident with the
recommendations.

5. Carry Out Your Financial Plan – Once you have received your divorce
settlement we will implement the recommendations.

6. Ongoing Review And Support – Our relationship need not end when your divorce
settlement has been finalised. Our relationship can be long term and designed to
provide ongoing financial support for your new life.

I will be with you every step of the way providing the necessary help and
guidance.

THE BOOK

Do you want to be more confident about your finances?

Do you want to be a wealthy woman?

“Wealthy” will mean different things to different women.

It doesn’t necessarily mean “rolling in it” and having so much money that you’ll
enter The Times ‘rich list’. It may simply mean you feel confident you will have
enough money to do the things that you plan to do in the future, no matter how
lavish or frugal a lifestyle you lead.

My new book “The Wealthy Woman: A Man is not a Financial Plan” will guide you on
your journey to become a wealthy woman by showing you how taking small steps on
a regular basis can lead to a significant increase in your wealth.

It’s easy to be wealthy just as it’s easy to be poor. There’s very little
difference in the way you can become either. You are in a position where you can
improve your wealth. Whatever your dreams and aspirations around money there is
nothing to stop you moving towards those dreams. The book is available on
Amazon.

I was lost in a minefield of options, and rather ignorant of how the financial
world works. Mary was invaluable with advice on what to do, explaining things,
so that I understood fully what would happen to my money and investments. Mary
was understanding and did not make me feel inadequate needing help. I now feel
secure and my mind is put at rest with Mary’s expertise

– Ruth Dellow

Mary listened to what I wanted. I did not once feel overwhelmed with financial
jargon or pressurised to go in a direction I did not want to. Mary has high
integrity and strives to do her best for her clients because she actually cares
about them.

– Caroline Crowhurst

Mary’s advice is so down to earth and straight forward that I feel I am at last
getting to grips with my finances. She explains everything without technical
jargon and I always know I can ask any question without feeling it’s a foolish
question. Her service is absolutely amazing.

– Dr Diane Keith
